Just played a tournament at neatman creek a couple weekends ago. It is nowhere near top 10 in the country. I would definitely put both of the courses at North Cove in Marion NC over Neatman. North Cove is a beautiful property. I would also put several Charlotte courses over Neatman.
I've played Fox Run twice. They put in turf pads last year and are grippy as hell. Other than that a fantastic course. I'm going to play the fort in Utah in a couple weeks
All of these courses are amazing and i completely agree with NC getting shafted not having more ranked up top (im an NC local). Played Maple hill, brewster ridge and fox run meadows all on a road trip 2 weeks ago. They all are obviously in the top 3 courses I've ever played and probably will ever play. Maple hill gets the #1, hands, down. I was curious where you got your ratings though because on UDisc they have Neatman creek listed as #16 in the world but can't find a link to the top 10 courses in the US.
I've played eagles crossing. I think it lived up to the hype, but damn that course is hard. If anyone remembers that shot Stokely through to win the skins match, it's significantly more heroic than it looked on camera.
I also live within 30 minutes of the Canyons (Currently ranked 25th, but used to be top 10) and that should be on anybody's list that's driving range from the Chicagoland area.
I'm fortunate enough to have played 3 of the courses on this list: Eagles Crossing, Flip City, and Harmony Bends, and I only live a few hours from Flip City. I can say that yes, all of them are worth it and are deserving of the hype they get. Of the 3, if I were to go play one of them today (besides the distance), I'd probably go play Flip, then Bends, then Eagles. Flip in the fall is one of the most breathtaking courses you'll ever play, as Northern Michigan is blessed with beautiful fall colors. The course is a ton of fun, hard but not as punishing as Bends or Eagles are.
Bends is hard as heck, but it's also a very pretty course, and Houck designs always feel fair. There are several holes there that I can still picture in my mind and want to play again. Eagles is super cool, the people that run it are delightful and fantastic people, and they've put an indescribable amount of work into making that a destination. That said, a lot of the "pomp and circumstance" that Eagles has (like the statues at some of the tees and views and whatnot) gets lost if you don't play the pro layout. And let's be clear: Eagles ain't easy either, and that shot Stokely did is unbelievable when you see it in person.
Friends and I do a couple of trips a year, usually one of them as a destination trip, to play disc golf. We scope out an area with amenities and good courses and go for a few days. I'd recommend it to anyone, as there are so many areas with so many great courses to play. Like, in the part of Michigan where Flip City is, there's also Fairway to Heaven (which is better than Flip IMO), the 3 courses at Mason County Park, and a number of others, and that area is where they host Michigan State Amateur State Championships ever year because of the great courses.
tldr: go play disc golf. If you can, try out these courses because they're great.
I am lucky enough to play maple hill regularly…this course offers more variety than any I can think of ..no better place in the world especially in autumn..and if you visit there are now 6 courses in 20 mile radius that so worth it to enjoy as well…come visit!!
I played eagles crossing early this year, awesome course, kicked my butt. Played Caliber this past week, it is now a yearly event for us, last year and this didnt do great muself but it is worth it beautiful course.
As A Michigan native I made my first pilgrimage to Flip City quite a few years ago and have returned many times since. This course is surrounded by pro tour courses on this list, but most disc golfers wouldn't have much fun on these punishing championship level courses. It doesn't matter if you are a pro or am because everyone can have fun at Flip. Bill McKenzie owns the property which he inherited from his grandparents and its very isolated being out in the middle of rural Michigan surrounded by farmland. Part of what makes Flip City so great is that the entire course has been built and maintained by Bill for many many years. The various elevation changes coupled with the winding wooded fairways and some tricky basket placements (hole 12) makes for a wide selection of shots that will put your abilities to the test. The course and property also have a unique and charming atmosphere that adds to the experience. All over the course you will find rock stacks and formations that have been setup and rearranged over the years. Over by the alternate holes from an overlooking hilltop you can see that Bill mows the shape of a disc golf basket into the nearby grass annually. There are also several small shelter structures on the property that have been covered in signatures over the years. If you ever come play Flip City you can come write your name in the hall of fame for yourself!
The highlight of my short career is a 275 birdie throw in on the 790 foot driving range hole at Blue Ribbon pines during the MN Majestic earlier this year (ma50). Loved the course and the disc golf vibe is awesome. Met the MN legend Cale Levieska there as a bonus. Awesome dude.
Love me some BRP!!! It's about an hour away from me (don't get there nearly enough)!!! Ray is the man!!! And there are plenty of quality courses near BRP to play as well… I went out to the MVP Open in 2021(didn't bring any discs)😢… That place was awesome to walk, and follow players—can't even imagine how great it would be to play…
Played #3 Persimmon Ridge the year it opened, my course #854. Been meaning to play it again and play the new holes. #6 Champion Crossing was course #1500 for me. It's worth every penny, get the cart too. I was going to play Wild Times as course #1900 but it was raining so I went to CO instead. #9 Harmony Bends was course #1600 for me.
none of the other courses are within a days drive of Dallas, that is why I have not played them.
BTW, I played UDisc courses #25 Bear Mountain and #20 Beaver Ranch back to back this last weekend. Beaver Ranch was course #1900.

I came down from Canada on July 4th (my birthday) to play Brewster Ridge. Definitely lives up to the hype. Can't wait to go back someday.

Now go get the actual top 10 from Disc Golf Course Review
I know some guys that flew to Massachusetts from Georgia to play Maple Hill, Brewster Ridge, and Fox Run.
Speaking on NC, Rolling Pines DGC is freaking fantastic.

Neatman Creek is a gorgeous private course semi-near me. If you do a top 10 non-tour stop list you may see more NC courses.
I've played Flip City and loved it! It isn't necessarily that hard, but every hole is interesting and beautiful.
