The Renaissance Resort at Ross Bridge is part of a much larger network of excellent courses called the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. The RTJ Trail consists of 468 holes spread across eleven locations in Alabama. Dr. David Bronner, the CEO of the Retirement Systems of Alabama, dreamed up a collection of golf resorts so distinct and fitting for the natural beauty of the rolling terrain of Alabama that golf junkies from across the country and world would come out every year to play it. He knew only one man up for such a challenge – Robert Trent Jones, Sr. The resulting masterpiece includes The Shoals, Grand National, Capitol Hill, and 8 other golf destinations across Alabama. In the center of the state stands arguably one of the very best set of 18 holes out of the 468 – Ross Bridge. As you can see in the video, the natural landscape and topography of this course is remarkable. The sheer size and expansiveness is also something to behold. Welcome to Ross Bridge. I hope you enjoy the course vlog and can come see this natural beauty for yourself. #rtjtrail #roberttrentjonesgolftrail #roberttrentjones

  1. What a beautiful course! I'll have to put that one on my list to play. 8k yards! Damn that's insane but awesome! I love long courses.

  2. Played in Alabama last March. Never have I met such nice people! Golf courses were always in great shape with a very relaxed vibe. Great video!

  3. Great vid .. dude I didnโ€™t realize how good u are .. 300yds ๐Ÿ˜ณIโ€™m happy to hit it 210

  4. Love the video man, your enthusiasm for your experience there is soo infectious…looks like a great and now it feels like one too!

  5. Its a great course. Get a course book on the course you are playing. That way you have something to go by.

  6. Awesome video. I planning on playing most of the RTJ trail with my son going to college there. Rolltide!

  7. Just played my first ever game of golf here. It was difficult but it was so fun. It's such a beautiful course!

  8. I have never understood why there isn't a regular stop in Alabama. Courses as good as anywhere in America and they routinely are the highest attendance marks for the Legends Regions Tradition. I can't imagine the crowds if the regular tour came. Weather is great, people are great, interest is there. It makes no sense. 2 PGA championships were held at Shoal Creek and the PGA said they would never come back for the same reasons that Augusta also had. If you are ever down on the coast play Craft Farms Cypress Bend course. It is actually tougher than Ross Bridge if you can imagine that.

  9. When I lived in Mobile they have a Robert Trent Jones Course at Magnolia and have to say they are one of the best courses in Mobile area.. Total of 3 courses..

  10. Playing an 8k yard course without a range finderโ€ฆ not a great idea! Canโ€™t wait for this course to reopen Oct 2023

  11. The Senior tour played Ross Bridge at least one year when they moved from GreyStone. I do remember the PGA had to adjust the tee marker for the senior b/c they complained about the length from the Orange tees which play like 6800yds.

  12. I played five RTJ courses in five days a couple of weeks ago. The staff at every property were absolutely amazing! Nothing was too much trouble. It was like a private club experience. Ross Bridge was amazing. We finished in the dark just as the full (blue) moon came up. A truly epic end to a fantastic afternoon. Shame you were limited on space as there are so many amazing holes. Wish we couldโ€™ve seen you playing #4!
