This is obviously not a video I was looking forward, or had ever planned to make, but now that we’re here all I can think to say is thank you. To every viewer, every subscriber, everyone who played any part in my journey with disc golf no matter how big or small, I couldn’t have done it without you and I’ll never forget that. I am grateful beyond words to all of you for allowing me to live out this dream and even more excited for what the future holds.

Thank you.

  1. Around 14:40 I meant to say “a single person who did NOT end up in a better position.” Apologies for the slip up there.

  2. Enjoyed all your content. I got into Disc Golf in 2019, and didn’t know a thing about how discs flew. You and Danny educated me throughout the last 5 years on social media. You were awesome.

I’ve been through layoffs before man. It will all be okay. I promise.

If you hit the ground running and keep your head held high you will get a higher paying job. Make sure your future employer sees all your YouTube videos because they are great!

  3. Hang in there buddy . One door closes another opens up . Bill Randolph from DGPT was recently let go for the same reasons . Disc golf seems to have leveled out and lost its growth boom . My local pias is saying the same downward trend . Try not to take it personal . You’ll find your way just like you did when dd door opened .

  4. While we only got together a couple of times, I had a blast working with you and Danny. When I was coming from the esports industry with a love and interest in disc golf, you were one of the people that helped me learn about the space. I wish you the best man. Take care!

  5. Disc Golf isn't down.

    Dynamic Discs is down.
Poor decision after poor decision. Big Ricky and Kona contracts, overpriced molds. The company seems to be faltering.

  6. Hey man, been a fan of yours (IL represent) from the beginning and can understand the feelings you have. I was laid off in 2018 and moved out of the industry I love. 2 years later and I was back doing what I enjoy. Change is hard, but don’t let it break your spirit. You’ve got this!

  7. You are a very highly skilled professional. You have the right attitude man, be excited for what’s to come! Change is good!!! Need anything let me know 🎉👍

  8. Big fan of yours, started my discgolf journey in 2014 and your channel was a huge part of my core base in discgolf (and I too remember Big John’s channel and many others from those early days that have gone by the wayside). Thank-you so much for sharing your passion with discgolf with all of us over the years. I know your personal connection with the sport is unfortunately at a low point, but I hope that you know you have inspired so many with your content and work within the sport…thank-you so much! Best wishes to you and your family, enjoy all the milestones and seasons in your life and know that you have and will continue to have a positive impact ✌️

  9. DD wont be able to right the ship. Its best you wont be there when it sinks. Youll be better off doing anything else.

  10. That’s tough to hear brotha! I enjoyed seeing all you did for DD. When one door closes, another opens. ❤

  11. I have always enjoyed your content and the work you did at DD! I’ve been there too with layoffs and I can tell you a closed door means another will open. Lean into God and tell Him what you’re feeling in your heart. This is a time of uncertainty but be certain God will take care of you and your family.

  12. Over the years I've met or had interactions with quite a few folks from DD, from Jeremy to E-Mac, to the folks running the retail store in KC, and have nothing but positive impressions and opinions of those folks.
That's why I don't understand why it seems like so much of what DD does as a company comes across as cringeworthy or hokey. I guess we never know what goes on somewhere behind the scenes.
Never met you but always enjoyed your content and enthusiasm. I wish nothing but the best for you and your family.

  13. Interesting that people are using cameras as journals now and film themselves going through this. I commend you. Long story short. The industry is saturated with discs.

  14. It's sad to see you like this. I enjoyed your content since day one. Hang in there brother. Maybe God has a bigger plan for you. Leave it in the hands of fate. Keep your head up big dog 🤜🤛

  15. Best of luck in whatever you get to next. I’m sure you will do great.

Thanks for sharing with all of us and thanks for all the great content you have put out over the years.

  16. Good stuff, brother. The drive to grow the sport has been a part of you and that is what put you in this career for almost a decade. That dedication and drive will spill over into something new and it will shock you how much you needed a change.

Stay positive. I know it seems like the heaviest storm is over you for the moment. Your passion and dedication to achieving greatness will show in any career you choose. Like all of our conversations before, i'm still here if you need anything. Keep pushing, and I'm excited to see where you end up. You've got a vast network of people that want to see you land on your feet and will do anything they can to help you stick that landing. Don't ever be scared to use them for assistance.
You've got a massive heart. First and foremost give every moment you can while you're on the hunt for the next career to that baby boy. This is valuable time that is a gift you can never replace. Take him out and put that camera to the test making memories. You've got the perfect season for outdoor pictures at your disposal! Secondly, RESET. The time spent the past 8 years along with your wife in school and now a new baby has surely made time with your wife hard.Take advantage now. Disconnect from digital media every chance you can and fall in love with life outside of it again.

  17. That’s what happens when you sign KONA FOR TONS AND TONS OF MONEY. Someone who literally PAID FOR FAKE SOCIAL MEDIA FOLLOWERS WHICH IS WHAT THEY HIRED HER FOR. Kona ROBBED DD blindly. What a joke.

  18. If you are the reason why we have a disc golf course at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church (Crystal Lake, IL), THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

  19. The biggest shame is that you couldn't grow your personal brand during that time. Your channel should have WAY more views and subs if you could have continued to develop this channel alongside all the work you did at DD.

I remember your content and subsequent hiring at DD was part of what got me more into DG and developed my appreciation for DD as a company and product. I've since moved away from their products a little bit.

I know that you'll land on your feet somewhere, somehow. I'm rooting for you

  20. Unfortunately DD has made a lot of poor business decisions. Add this to this list. Wishing nothing but the best for you and your family. May you come out better on the other side.

  21. Best of luck with everything man! You, Danny, and Bobby were a huge part of me getting hooked on this sport whenever I started playing in 2018.

  22. Danny, Robert, Bobby, and now Anthony… Who does DD have anymore, what are they doing? I get you all are professionals and not going to rail on a previous employer, but watching the best parts of the company leave or be made to leave one by one, sheesh. So they have a single palyer who can't win a major moving discs and lost all their content creators. Hmmm yeah, sure they are going to move lots of discs. With these business decisions I think DD is going to be downsizing more and more until they don't exist.

  23. They are paying Kona truck loads of money and this guy can’t pay his mortgage. Unbelievable lack of vision and integrity by DD. I’ve been watching you since the r/discgolf days back in 2014. I’ll always be a fan.

  24. Way to take the high road. Trilogy does suck though. Especially the Westside line. I've never had a Trilogy disc that I simply couldn't do without.

  25. I hope you can manage until you find new ok payed work, what you save (travelling to work, lunch not homemade, daycare/nanny and such depending on how you and your better half have set stuff up ofc.) can make up for some lost income if you are "aggressive" about it.

Glad for what you have done at DD, not dug into your own content due to me finding DG about when you stopped playing casualy… 😉 Made me smile several time when you did the podcast about 2 years ago. (You mostly worked on the production side for those right?)

That they changed their mind and had to let you go as well is one thing, but that you then would have to quit the same day as the others and not several weeks later makes it feel soo sketchy…

Living in Sweden makes me look at Triology more like a single brand for the products and DD as an own entity helping L64° and Westside with distribution over there. I need to read up a bit on how Kastaplast and DM fits into it all in North America beside the obvious savings in combined shipping and physical personel and actual packages.

You did forget to put in your skillset "before" and now, stuff that you are good at and really like to do a lot for work, like a CV 😉

  26. Dang. Not cool. Business is always business I guess… You and the people at DD are the reason I throw Trilogy and specifically DD. Its always been a natural thing for me and I'm sure for lots of people to buy and support a company that makes me FEEL good and a company I love following. I've been here following you since before you started at DD and remember a video you reviewed the DD Escape. That somehow stuck in ny mind. I'm really sorry for DD for losing you (and Bobby and RobMcCall and….) This obviously was a dream job for you. You did it for so long and so well that I'm sure you'll find a spot you love very soon. Take care and please let us know how you're doing.

  27. DD took you from me and I will never forgive them.

Sorry to hear the news, and thank you for sharing your story. Love you buddy. You're talented and passionate and a joy to work with; wherever you go next will be so glad to have you.

  28. I was skeptical when the HOD announcement came out. I've seen this scenario unfold too many times over the years. Not once, has it been positive for employees, company culture, company values, community or anything associated with the companies prior to buyout. Equity firms don't care about any of the intangibles the companies they buy previously held. The number on the bottom line is all that matters. If it's not large enough or growing quick enough they panic. That's where we are today. I was cautiously optimistic this one would be different. I was wrong. Unfortunately, this one hit close to home. You'll land on your feet. Consider yourself fortunate you got out when you did. The future of DD, HOD and disc golf in general is not bright. When playing Jones East today I wondered if the red barn needs to be repainted to say "Emporia KNEW Disc Golf"…..

  29. I started playing right before you made the move!!!
So much has changed…I miss the old crew….Robert and Bobby, you Danny, E Mac 😢

  30. Good luck to you man. Seems like a shady thing for them to do after telling you otherwise. Hope it all works out for you and your family. Id bet you a bag full of criminals you land on your feet and wind up way better off. Huge mistake on their part

  31. Sorry this is happening man. You and Danny where some of the pioneers for disc golf content and have influenced myself to make content.

I worked factory work for years, the company I worked for took my 9 year perfect attendance bonus for me going to my dad's funeral. Companies rarely care about employees and it's sad especially when those employees are the foundation for them to stand on.
