In this video, short game guru Dan Grieve gives 25-handicap golfer Richard Baker a lesson on bunker shot basics. Richard really struggles to get out of the sand consistently, so was hoping that Dan could work his magic and give him some pointers that will ensure he can get out on the first attempt every time.
► We teamed up with adidas golf to create this video. Dan and Richard are wearing the Ultimate365 8.5 inch shorts from adidas to improve their shorts game. Get yours: https://www.adidas.co.uk/ultimate365-…

Brilliant, Dan 👌
About 50% less info and 100% improvement ! Brilliant.
It is just fantastic
I like the book short game of dan
He explain a concept of a short game very simple for many golfeurs
Thank you. The video and book have changed so many lives and enjoyment of the game. Loved this video for the nuances and breakdown.
90% setup. 10% technique. Nice.
The short game guru strikes again! Absolutely brilliant Dan! I have learned more from Mr. Grieve’s videos and book than any other in my life! Thank you sir!
Dan your ability to convey your knowledge into words and action is absolutely beyond the pale. Please come to America to give some lessons-people will line up.
Would you change his right hand grip so it was more in the fingers and more neutral
All fair enough for ‘parkland’ bunkers with low faces and plenty of sand, what about pot bunkers with no sand on a links course?
Haha
I'm an 11 handicap and would also drop shots off my 'cap if I got down in 2 putts from every bunker 😮
I'm shamefully poor.
If Gandalf played golf…
Did he just turn a 25 handicapper into a decent sand player in 4 shots?!?!?
My mind is blown.
Dan is the BEST. His book is a must read for any level golfer!
Content I desperately need!
Learned so much from Dan’s video, imagine what a personal session could do
Dan you are just fantastic. Maybe one day i‘ve got the Chance to get one lesson in the sand
Last shot looked brilliant….well done 👍
his second shot smashed the bunker lip which is why it went so high 😂
The Messiah..🎉
Dan's teaching method of using different amateur players to demonstrate how his tips can change their game instantly is a great innovation. It's a joy to watch his videos!
the smile on his face is priceless!
Dan whats the secret of getting out of VERY soft sand and a lot of it please. alan
brilliant job 🙂
I`m a 20 handicap (started playing a year ago) and according to Arccos my short game is 0.5 strokes gained on a scratch golfer. This has been 100% thanks to Dan Grieves. I truly agree there is no reason why any player can be Elite in the short game … there is no physical limitation for this if you put the work in
Thumbs off the grip has helped my yippy chipping. Old man’s golf gettin’ betta !
Dan, excellent video! Can you tell me where the ball is in his stance please?
It amazes me how so many people have played golf their whole lives with terrible fundamentals. For long game and short game, amateur players have no excuse for not having tour level alignment, setup, and grip. If you don’t master the fundamentals, there is really no point in playing the game.
Love it Dan. You should do more of these. His face is a picture when he gets out twice in a row!
This is how lessons should all be
