This is the 9/27/1986 Oklahoma at Miami game. Miami had its breakthrough season in 1983 winning a national championship by beating a great Nebraska team in the Orange Bowl. Oklahoma had won the National title in 1985 with a dominating win over Penn State in that same Orange Bowl venue. An unranked Miami team had stunned the third ranked Sooners in Norman in 85 handing the national champs their only loss so by the time they squared off in 86 this game was much watch TV for a college football fan. Oklahoma was ranked #1 and featured intimidating All American Linebacker Brian Bosworth. The Canes countered with Heisman Favorite Vinny Testeverde at QB. I claim no rights.
