Glue Guy episode with Shane Battier & CFOS! The Duke legend talks all things Brotherhood, his new podcast, playing with Bron and against Kobe, favorite Coach K stories and more. Massive shoutout to the all-time wins leader at Duke for coming by!
Shane Battier is the best Duke Blue Devil ever. Wasn’t the most talented to ever put on the uniform but he was the greatest leader and the epitome of what a Duke Basketball player should be.
The Maryland rivalry was up there with Carolina in the early 2000's. There fans were ruthless. I'll never get the image of there fans making a sign talking about having s*x with JJ Redicks 13 YO sister. It was a crazy time.
Shane's shot during the championship game against Arizona really haunted Richard Jefferson as I can recalled. For years he has been expressed "why Duke why everyone talking about Duke. We are good too……" It was funny…..
Absolute most favorite Duke player ever!!!! Thank you so much for coming to Duke Shane. You brought a lot of happiness to me growing up the way you guys dominated the ACC year after year. In fact let’s talk about your career at Duke….
4-Time ACC Regular Season Champion. 3-Time ACC Tournament Champion. The Sweet 16 WAS THE TEAM’S FLOOR. 4 Sweet 16’s. 3 Elite 8’s. 2 Final 4’s. 2 National Championship Games. 1 National Title, 1 Runner Up. Earned a #1 Seed Every Year.
LEGIT title contenders EVERY YEAR and absolutely devastating when you lost because your teams were so good.
Overall Record vs UNC: 8-3 Overall Record vs Maryland: 9-2
Can’t believe the 2001 Final 4 game against Maryland wasn’t brought up. That was more impressive than the miracle minute. Coach K Ruined Gary William’s life game after game.
And Remember: The ACC was stacked with talent back then. It was regarded as the toughest conference by a landslide year after year and yet DUKE DOMINATED IT.
Thank you once again Battier. I have unforgettable memories. You were my favorite player on my favorite teams.
Didn’t your father wear the “I’m your daddy” hat in the Arizona game? If your son plays at Duke you have to do the same!!!
Everyone knows The 1999 Duke team would be way to much for 2001 Duke team..I think it would be a blow out atleast 10-15 minimum..either UCONN or Duke in 1999 is better then any team in 2001..sorry battler and Foster
brotherhood podcast of the year! MVP ever at Duke. No player, in my opinion, has ever had the impact the Shane Battier had. Smart, relentless, selfless, and talented. I think he did more with his physical talent than anyone I've ever seen at Duke. Three time Defensive Player of the Year, a National Champion. I remember saying to my wife that Shane is going to do great things with his life. It wouldn't have surprised me if he had ended up as President of the United States. He's the one Duke star that was loved by us all AND not hated by the Duke Haters. And let's not forget the job C Fos is doing as a very young man. Great job by both men.

MD fans threw bottles at you at Cole Field House, including at Carlos boozer’s parents who were MD graduates
