GK Pro is excited to announce a new series called Beat the Pros. We’re coming to courses around the country and giving “local players” (AMs & pros) the opportunity to play on GK coverage against touring pros and if you win… you get $10,000.

Leading up to the on-camera showdown, participate in the unlimited entry, flexible-time tournament at your designated local course. The top 20 hot rounds qualify for the first cut. Right before the finals, those 20 players will play an epic birdie-or-die showdown – the last 4 left to make the final card.

On finals day we’ll have one card of “local players” and one card of touring pros. We want to see you shoot a hot round and be the ultimate disc golf Cinderella story. What do you think – can local players use the ultimate home-field advantage to beat the pros?

  1. Great content. Just need another good disc golf personality to do commentary so we have play by play on both cards. My vote is a local legend at each stop. That or Zach Melton.

  2. Great video! Please come to Cannon Ridge in Fredericksburg VA! Lots of people would show up for sure!!

  3. Luke, Come to the Pittsburgh area! Preferably Deer Lakes Park or North Boundary Park. I spotted for the silver series at north boundary. Joel Freeman took it down. Also lots of great players here.

  4. Without the handicap adjustment, this format does not make a lot of sense, imho. On the other hand, some of these amateurs are sponsored players. Basically, what you have is bad pros vs excellent ones, but even then it's extremely unballanced. Perhaps as a chit-chat show about DG and junk food showcasing new up-and-coming faces it makes sense, but not for me.

  5. 1) You didn't explain the format. Who wins? Whoever wins the hole, full 18 hole round? I thought it would be best shot for 4 ams vs 1 pro, then they would have a chance.
    2) It shows they're all pros on the first hole
    3) these am's are worst putters I've seen
    4) mic up the players, it's dull af

  6. GK Pro has to do this in Florida. Olympus DGC. Mcbeth, Heimburg, Gurthie on the card. You'd get 3.76 billion views.

  7. LOVE this new series! What better way to give back to the community than giving some armatures a chance in the spotlight <3 Come up to Humboldt county California!

  8. Would love to see this in maryland at kinder park disc golf course. There's a lot of good pros there and us ams would like a chance. Lots of shit talkers so it would be fun here.

  9. I’m in Kansas City and have no friends, but would love to play against some pros! I’d consider myself very average, but it would be a ton of fun!

  10. Cedar Rapids/Iowa City/Des Moines, Iowa has a huge community. Titan Disc Golf is the retailer for them all and is one of the original sponsors of Gannon Buhr AND Dawson Snelling (Doing Well at the Preserve right now.)

  11. Come and bring it to Victoria,Tx we got a bomer course and a technical course in the back 36 holes we call it the gauntlet.

  12. Broken Chains at clc in New London, PA. Best course around northeastern MD, Delaware, and the surrounding mass we call PA.
