Uncommitted ’25 Kevin Avery had a big Friday, pushing his pulldown PR up to 87.2 mph (up from 80.1 this spring and 75mph last winter).

The biggest rocks for Kevin have been arm action based. During his intake we noted that his arm was stiff, did not flip up deeply, and was dominated by elbow flexion and extension. As he’s gained a feel for a more pulling based arm action we’ve added rhythm to the arm swing and begun to address the lower body.

On the general side Kevin is a solid athlete with a good elastic base but has needed to improve his strength and bodyweight which he’s made solid progress on so far.

Big assist from Evan Stevers, letting Kevin borrow his shoes for improved footing.
