  1. It is true we only use certain clubs regularly. For me, Driver, 5 hybrid, 7, 8, 9, Sand Wedge & Putter if I was pushed. And yes I’d be interested in playing some courses if you organised it.

  2. I don't hit the ball very far. When I get on long courses with a lot of trouble — especially water — they eat me alive. I'm 62, and only 5'9" with 32/33 inch arms. I'm dismayed. It's like golf was only meant for tall people — especially young tall people. You talk about 5 clubs. I'm forever looking for a club that will knock the ball 200-225 in the air for me, and I can't find one. I've been playing my whole life and I can't break 45 for 9, and most often it's 50. I just hate it. Literally hate it. If I try to massively increase my clubhead speed, I start hitting fat or thin. I used to love golf. I once had a single digit handicap. It's all gone. The older guys I play with are all tall, and they all out hit me, even with ugly swings. I can't stand it!

  3. I'm a 5 handicap and I've been playing with 8 clubs for a couple of seasons and I never feel the need for any more clubs.
Driver and 3 hybrid for woods.
My irons are bent five degrees of loft apart
    7 iron @ 29*,
    8 iron @34,
    9 iron @39*,
    Pw @ 44*,
    Sw @ 56* and
    Putter.

  4. What happened to your 9 wood, which you said a few videos ago would replace clubs like your 6 iron?

  5. I can’t hit as far as you with the same clubs. I just watched a video where YOU say dump the driver for a 7 wood.

  6. You are getting too good to be called average any more, and the environs are vastly better than that as well. Really delightful course and hotel/pub venue. Photos all were great, but it's hard not to get a great shot on that terrific golf course.Very nice.

  7. Just a quick thought…Maybe you should alternate even and odd clubs in your reduced carry bag each week to spread the wear evenly, but also put your better, more versatile golfer theory to work but adjusting your swing a bit differently to the different lofts. I've played scrambles with three clubs, and all of us were surprised at how good we played, after a fashion, with so few clubs.Ever try a 50 yard putter shot?

  8. I started playing 3 years ago. I'm 53. I learned right away keeping it simple is the way. My used bag set up is a 15* "Auto Pilot" instead of driver. 5 hy, 6, 8, PW, 56* wedge and putter. I shoot in the 90s which is well enough to play with friends.

  9. When I first took up golf. It was common to buy half sets of clubs. I know in my 14 clubs there are at least 4 or 5 I hardly ever use.

  10. I mean this sincerely, you are proof how solidly you hit the ball with an inside takeaway and very slightly over the top move at the top. It gets you in an outstanding position. I could watch your swing all day long!

  11. I've stayed at Linden Hall 6 times , playing 3 rounds of golf on my favourite course. The hotel is really good as well and close to Beadnell and the coastal beaches.

  12. Great video very inspiring no nonsense advice. Please can you share the make and model of the clubs used. I am a happy subscriber to your channel and enjoy all your videos. Keep up the good work.

  13. Please make up your mind just recently you said everyone should have a 7 wood in the bag to lower your scores and it's not even in the bag your advice is extremely ambiguous and confusing
