Love this. RIP Payne. Still have a picture with his statue next to my Grandpa!!!
My all-time favorite…he is missed!😢
What a legend. Talk about a comeback from the year before. RIP Payne
God Bless Payne Stewart
Those last three holes he played were legendary
Can't believe we lost him!! He was so amazing personality. Rip we think of you!!
favorite golfer of all time
R.I.P. 🪦
The genius that I have heard about Pinehursts #2 is †hat golfer's hate it. The course is really designed that the true winner comes out pretty close to #PAR not 10-15 point under par. The greens have been designed deviously not in favor of your pro-golfer. Happy father's day Payne!! I will always remember being in the grandstands with my dad to see this Epic moment. Stewart's passion is no where near personified that in his sportsmanlike genius immediately after his celebration he walks over to Phil Mickelson and reminds him that he as the hero of the day as he had his first born child that day. FreudenFreud by every definition of the word personified.
When he tells Phil that “nothing beats becoming a father” on Father’s Day, I can’t help but want to give my old man a hug
I miss him after watching this. What a player and man. RIP
I think it was the greatest US Open ever. I have a picture in a plaque of Payne throwing his fist in the air on one leg the moment the ball went in. The last three holes were insane. The put he made on 16 was probably a 1 or 2% probability. If he missed, it was going off the green if I remember correctly. Payne usually stepped up his game at the US Open. He was the only player to finish under par in ‘99. I’m looking forward to this year’s Championship.
and phil never did win one. choked them all away.
What a great Ryder Cup captain he would have made.
Phil walking up immediately as he hit cause he knew it was going in.
SeeMore putter.
Other than Sunday of Tiger's 2019 Masters… To me this is the greatest moment in the history of the sport.
