This is the 10/26/1996 Alabama at Tennessee game. Alabama was 7-0 and Tennessee was 5-1 with a close loss to Florida who was #1 at the time this game was played. It was Gene Stallings final year at Alabama. He was the most sucessful coach at Alabama between Bear Bryant who retires in 82 and Nick Saban who came in in 2007. Peyton Manning was in his Junior Year at Tennessee. I claim no rights.

I was 10 and this was the fourth game I had attended. I had wrongly assumed that this game would be a blowout similar to the previous year's game but Alabama was fantastic on the defensive side of the ball as they typically were under the great Gene Stallings.
Ohio State should have been voted 🗳 No. 1 in 96 after beating Arizona State in Rose 🌹 Bowl .
