Back in August, we ran a giveaway where one lucky winner would get a swing tip from Hall of Famer Padraig Harrington.

Our contest winner ended up being Bryan E, a scratch golfer with an athletic swing in the 115mph – 120mph range.

To give Padraig a little extra context, we asked Bryan about some of the things he’s been working on.

Bryan said –

“I played a draw for years, and the last season or so, I’ve been trying to work a gentle cut.

Working on really rotating my lower body more open at impact and pushing my left hip back while getting that “jump” vertical feeling, so that I can clear well, and try and eliminate any last-second flipping.”

Within a few seconds of looking at his swing, Padraig knew EXACTLY what he wanted to tell Bryan.

  1. I wouldn't say a scratch golfer is "average". Should have gotten a 12-18 handicapper to make it more applicable to really average golfers.
