Where’s the history aspect of any besides Bethpage? Bethpage is in the right spot. Torrey overrated. Erin Hills after caddy fees approaches $600. Not affordable in most books. Beauty and condition, can’t argue with any of the five.
Any love for Celebrity Course at Indian Wells Resort?
Well thank you for deciding where im gonna go for my birthday this year. I live an hour from chambers bay but have never played it. Ran around it for cross country in highschool but never had the money or time to play and enjoy the full course till recently
How is Bethpage black number one? I’ve played that course quite a few times. It is nothing special gotta be there at 3 o’clock in the morning just to get a tee time
You nailed it! Especially throwing in te affordability factor which is huge for the average golfer like myself. And for it’s bang for its buck bethpage black is hands down the best public course in America. To think in 2002 US open tiger was the only player under par there is ABSURD
Stupid…history? That’s a something to go off of when playing golf? This dork is why people hate golf. I’m happy the pretentious douches are slowing fading away in golf.
Very glad to see Chambers in #2 spot. It got a lot of undeserved shit after the open but, having played it a half dozen times (and I’m from the E coast), it’s so good, it’s ridiculous. I don’t agree with your #1; I could see it at the bottom of this list, but I have to go with PAC Dunes. Bandon trails is my 2nd favorite track on the Bandon property, so it can stay on this list, and, if you play 36 in a day, you could play trails/pac dunes back to back, with the 2nd round at 1/2 price. That’s a check in the affordability column.
I can go play Tobacco Road for free anytime I want! I just got to make the trip back to NC from Cali! My buddy is a golf pro at a private course up there! Said anytime I wanna come to NC we can play pinehurst #10 and Tobacco Road for free! I can’t wait till that day comes

Torrey pines bro! You kidding me👍
Tobacco Road is not a golf course. It’s an experience.
Pebble Beach?
I like the one that the guy was drunk when he made it. Ha ha ha😂
You go to Bandon, you better love to play golf because that is ALL there is to do. It is GLORIOUS…
Bethpage black is THE hardest course

Good stuff
I played the top 2 need to get to the other 3.
No Pacific Dunes or Pebble?
Living on long island I really take the black for granted
Tobacco Road takes about 5-6 hours to play 18

Torrey Pines hits all of your criteria

Surprised Pinehurst doesn’t make this list given history and condition.

Had no idea bethpage black hair as public
It's pebble Beach. Don't be silly.
Come to Sitka, Alaska! Our golf course elite! 😂
Played Chambers and Brandon Trial. Bandon Trails whooped my ass. Chambers not as difficult.
So glad you said tobacco road! Still my favorite course I have played.
Absolutely love chambers
Tobacco Road is like playing golf on the moon. It’s amazing.
Going to Erin hills this year, super stoked for that trip with the boys
You clearly haven’t played Brickyard in south Dallas. Maybe the best course in the world.
Erin Hills is great, but if you make a trip to WI for golf, you have to play Whistling Straits. The beauty is unmatched.
Hard to leave Torrey Pines off the list, but I would imagine it'd make your top 10 list
Haven’t played Landmand Golf Club in Homer, Nebraska yet or it’d be on this list. 🤷🏻♂️

Dum dum only free course in usa. Where i learned my craft each day after school, work and the weekends of my teenhood
Love this. Thank you
i appreciate you putting tobacco road on the list amazing to hear it among those other courses…
I have played Bethpage Black a hundred times. I started as a teenager. At that time, you couldn't get a tee in the ground in August.
Are we ouTTa the woods?
East lake
You are definitely wrong. My local muni is number one in the U.S.

What about No. 2 and the Ocean Course?
Played Tobacco Road a few years ago. Course is beautiful but it’s like someone made the hardest golf course and then said tiger proof it
