But what about the sportswashing? Was Saudi Arabia investing in sport before the Jamal Khashoggi incident? Were they wanting to invest in golf before the Jamal Khashoggi incident? Yes and Yes. The accusations of sportswashing were a major part of the Maoist-style campaign by the Biden/Obama/Kamala-loving PGAT to marginalize LIV/PIF. This was partly because of LIV's connection to Trump and MAGA. Most of the big name players who went to LIV are MAGA. For the most part, the PGAT was left with a bunch of zero-personality soy. 2/2
Marxist BS re Saudi. When the Thatcher government in Britain had to spend all of the money generated by North Sea oil, would it have been wrong for them to have invested that money in football? What these repugnant soy-commies conveniently fail to mention is that golf is especially valuable because the demographic that watches golf on TV buys high-end products. And professional golf events [such as the recent JVC LIV event] are hotbeds of commercial business. Some of the biggest names in corporate business schmooze at these events. Vast sums of money are made in and around pro-golf. 1/2
Omg I will hate for a chance to play! Currently 9 HC
All of that PGAT prize money is coming out of the $1.5 billion Fenway investment. And it's going to be all gone within three years. The PGAT money is illegitimate. The LIV/PIF money is legitimate.
The Fenway Sport Group ain't getting nothing back on that investment. They came in for ideological reasons. It was just about stopping/marginalizing LIV. Similar to Go Woke, Go Broke.
The LIV/PIF money is all about Saudi Arabia investing in the corporate behemoth that surrounds professional golf [in and off the course].
Monhan totally sold the PGA tour to his buddies.
These guys talking about the tour championship having match play with some people having byes then a 1v1 final conveniently forget that this is exactly the format of the LIV team championship. They’ll pretend it was an original idea when it gets done lol.
can we see a road trip with this crew?

Professional golf feels like it's at an all time low. This was the first year where I did not watch one golf event. A match play championship would bring some life back to it.
The Thegala penalty situation is pretty redic, because unless they can show us something that proves it, it's a gargantuan disincentive to be honest and those like Wyndham Clark who's blatantly doing some shady things have an advantage. It's comparable to outlawing guns in the sense that criminals will still have them, but the law abiding citizens won't.
The pga has this weird thing where they prefer the honor code over camera photoage, hence why I believe they proceeded with the penalty against Thegala, but most players want to know if they or someone else did or didn't do something or if the ball appeared to cross over the water at a different spot or whatever… why not utilize technology to know this for certain.. it would certainly make most players feel better about it.
And the manner in which the pga has used penalties over the years is pretty suspect (and sure, like a holding call in football often times you can demonstrate someone did, but why now against that person)… it always seems to go against the guy in which it's not in the best interest of the pga for that person to win, unless fans call in and it's blatant and it puts them in a situation to where it's not an option. And it's so weird when someone accidentally commits a penalty… they treat them like they just shot the president.. like Cam Smiths… how is he supposed to shoot a round of golf when they bring him into a room and scare the f**k out of him (he's probably thinking someone maybe died, so by the time he finds out that it was merely over a potential penalty, he's happy that's all it was in that moment) and now he has to have that in his head all day (you're potentially a little pissed, especially in that case when it was more about keeping up the pace of play and now you're getting painted as being a bad guy and you wonder, was it intentional). And of course at that time it just so happened that the pga was scared out of their minds that cam smith would take over the #1 spot and prior to that penalty vegas odds would laid even odds on it… so is it a coincidence? And Golf really needs to restructure several of the penalties to 1 stroke instead of 2… the 2 stroke penalty vs 1 doesn't make any logical sense in most of the penalty situations, unless it's an intentional cheating situation (it's under the guise that one is potentially giving themselves a shot advantage by cheating, so we'll tack an extra stroke on for cheating, but many penalties are accidental ones.. It's much easier for people to be honest when a mishap happens when they get docked a stroke instead of 2, because 2 has no logical basis. You may as well have a clown jump out of the bushes and kick them in the nuts when they call a penalty on themselves and wonder why no one calls a penalty of themselves.
2.5 million dollars over a potential penalty would definitely keep Matt Kuchar up at night.

Good job boys….i enjoy this podcast every week! I wish i could nitpick every episode and just post negative comments but i cant because it truly is entertainment and enjoyment for me. #notashittycomment #gravytrain
Here’s an idea I would personally really enjoy for a Tour Championship format:
-Top 4 guys in the fed ex cup going into the finals get a bye and are seeded 1-4 for quarter finals on Saturday. This rewards the top players for their success without getting into awkward stroke advantages. It also adds drama for the first two events since those 4 spots have such significance. They also get to rest up.. if that makes a difference.
-Thursday – Friday – remaining top 26 guys play 36 holes of stroke play. Top 4 guys get in to the 5-8 seeds for Saturday. This creates all sort of drama focusing on the final four spots with matchup and playoff scenarios for those spots aplenty.
-Saturday is the match play day. Guys are all seeded 1-8. 18 holes to decide who gets into the final championship on Sunday. Cool underdog stories are available here if a later bloomer gets into the playoffs and then grabs a bottom seed. Match is amazing.
-Sunday is the final four for the championship. To avoid any further luck with match play, I think a final foursome stroke play would be awesome. Final four guys in a group adds extra drama. I think 18 holes makes sense. Everyone starts on an even playing field. Sure to create more drama and last final stretch heroics versus the current format.
I think that checks a lot of boxes in terms of entertainment while being easier to follow and rewarding the best players without being gimmicky. Thoughts?
