Min Woo Lee, who will be making his way to the Olympic Games in Paris with the Australian team, is also in the mix at eight under after stringing together a pair of 68s.
The 25-year-old, who had six birdies and a double-bogey, has enjoyed the spotlight playing with co-leader Bhatia and is feeling good about his game.
“We’re good friends. It’s nice to … play with a friend,” he said of his US rival.
“Everything’s pretty good. I don’t think there’s much wrong right now, I’m doing everything well.
“Just don’t make doubles (and) we’ll be all good.”
Englishman Rai birdied his last two holes to complete a seven-under 65 and tie with Bhatia.
