Traditional golf swing techniques have left golfers frustrated and stuck. With millions of conflicting golf tips and “experts” all teaching something different, there’s so much confusion on what needs to be done to play great golf. This problem makes golf extremely difficult and unenjoyable.

At SagutoGolf, we believe golf is life – and life should be enjoyed.

To play your best golf ever, you need a roadmap that gets you there. SagutoGolf helps you build a powerful swing that’s easy on your body and produces addicting contact with the golf ball shot-after-shot.

Because life is too short to play bad golf.

  1. Tom, great video refresher. I wish I could hit it like that right out of car, at my age I need 10 to 15 swings to get it going.

Your instruction method is the best out there. My game is in the best shape it has been for years.

    Thank you sir!!!

  2. I’ve been doing this for a while now, and your videos have given me the clues into a simple golf swing. It blows me away every time I use the shoulders for my back swing. It takes some practice, but it’s well worth it.

  3. Thanks so much for this content! I'm a beginning golfer and was struggling to find any kind of consistency. Sometimes I would hit straight sometimes slice, sometimes top, etc. I've been working through your free course the last couple days and am starting to see more consistency and definitely straighter shots. Will likely sign up for the class membership in the hopes that doing so will help me continue to improve 🙂

Question about grip and grips. I am now gripping the club more firmly, which does seem to help with consistent striking. The firmer grip however causes my arthritis to flare up in short order. Wondering if oversize grips would help or hinder my progress?

  4. This is one of your best and most excellent videos. The simplicity is so impressive.

  5. Great video! But one question, when i do drills focusing on these three things (weight on left, arm unit, and moving shoulders), i feel slight back pain esp when I focus on rotating the shoulders as much as possible.. Where am i going wrong?😢

  6. In some of your vids, you say "shoulders only". In this vid you say to use hip/body to be more consistent. What's the deal?

  7. This is why we all return to the Saguto church of Golfoholics.
Last weekend I strayed away from the flock and tinkered with my golf swing. I migrated back into dropping the club and firing the hips. These variables possessed my round, everything went the shite, and I never recovered.
Thank you for posting this refresher sermon, and I promise to never be tempted away again.😇
    Cheers…!

  8. Great video, I stumbled on your channel looking for a good golf mentor and I hit the jackpot with Saguto golf , the way you explain everything is gold. Thanks for being so good at what you do, because of you and your passion for golf , it makes me want to learn as much as possible and then one day who knows help teach someone what I have learned . Once again , you are amazing and have such great videos. Thanks for everything, and may God keep you and your family blessed and safe .

  9. Hey Tom, got any videos for lie angles? I be hitting pretty crispy however ones I get balls that are quite below or above the feet, I tend to struggle with keeping the ball from overturning. Same for lies that are uphill or downhill

  10. Tom I hope you’ll see this comment. I’ve been playing golf since my dad introduced me to it when I was maybe 8. So about twenty years now. In the last two weeks all that you have taught me from maybe four videos has turned me into a machine that hits crispy nuggets over and over again. Finally. The mysteries are solved and I have seen the light!! That isn’t to say that a 3w off the deck isn’t still annoying for me to hit well though. Any tips on that? And THANK YOU!! 🙏

  11. Hey Tom enjoy your vids, very very helpful for me but could you possibly do a vid showing the swing finish from the fairway?

  12. I have been working to undo years of over-complicated (and very expensive) golf instruction, which is based on what I call the "Golf Pro Full Employment Act", which needs to be over-turned by Congress. This is Tom Saguto's opus video.

  13. Tom, I've been a member of Saguto Golf for over a year working on all your drills but this video answered a lot of questions I had particularly about the trail arm/elbow being higher than the lead arm at the initial takeaway. I am a 14 handicap and shot 78 yesterday with this one tip. I would take one slow motion practice swing to make sure I was getting the position right and then let it rip. I've never driven the ball better and my iron game was spot-on. This drill really got my shoulders and arms in the right spot in preparation for the downswing. I had no swing thoughts other than making sure my right elbow arm (I'm right handed) is higher than my left during that 1-2 feet of initial backswing. It also prevents the rolling of the hands. This is the lowest score I shot in about 5 years. I also won $$$. Shooting a net 64 will do that for you! Thank you so much and I can't wait to to practice/play. Golf is fun again!

  14. Yesterday I had this video running over and over while I was hitting trying to understand how the right shoulder goes down and through towards target.
Today I hit the first 9 pins like laser shots. Three pars then 6 STRAIGHT BIRDIES for a 30 front 9 score.
    68 for 18 holes.
At age 78, I will take it any time.

  15. Excellent video. How much do you cock your wrists at the top of backswing? I mean radial deviation rather than wrist flexion/extension.

  16. i have a suggestion for you… listen to the record "baja sessions" by chris isaak.
that's who you remind me of… chris isaak.
he has a great guitar player and i know you're a picker too… like me… golf and guitar.
if you google my name all my music stuff comes up… i don't gig much anymore. damn diabetes…

  17. this video is fantastic! simple swing thoughts that really work. as another comment mentioned, i found the thought of keeping R arm above the left in backswing really helpful in terms of keeping club path on plane. Thanks Tom!!!

  18. I watched like two of his videos went out to the range and was hitting the ball better
than I ever have. I literally started chuckling out loud and I’m 50

  19. Thanks, your videos have been a great help and I have started enjoying my golf now after simplyfying my swing👍

  20. I had a 3 man scramble monday my driver was awsome never missed a fairway went about 270 yards everytime not bad for 59 yeats old with bad back my irons went straight just lost yardage not sure about that my wedges were great just went back to saguto swing just a work in progress

  21. Very complete instruction that could only be improved by 30 seconds of guitar playing at the conclusion.. Will be using this as a basis for my future golf swing after r wrist surgery tomorrow morning. Arghh.

  22. I actually find it funny when i go to the range and i'm getting bored hitting bullets (I need a proper target and hazards) and looking down the range almost every single player is getting on their back foot slicing/topping and hitting all over the shop. Look i will admit i still have a few random cutty shots where an old habit like arms break down or i manipulate the arms/hands but i can correct it very quickly in the next shot. The setup is where the magic happens… if you set it up correctly its just a shoulder turn and everything else is on the ride with it.

Also what you say is true about not having to practice much…. I hadn't practiced in two weeks and played last weekend shooting +13 off the tips with 5, 3 putts and so many missed birdie chances. My bad shots aren't bad anymore and i don't lose golf balls. Also first tee nerves are gone, i just don't get nervous over the ball anymore which is something i've never had in 25 years of golf. After 12 weeks of being on stack and tilt i doubt i will ever move away from it but rather keep refining my game and working on making the swing 100% habitual.

  23. My coach told me to hold the triangle long as i can and lead arm parallel to the ground finishes the back swing, thoughts?
