  1. For once. Simon got it on the head lol.

Keown does realize that we've got players on the books that for how many years of the takeover, we're STILL struggling to let go?? Lewis, Hayden, and just barely got rid of Fraser, when his transfer was basically put up ages before the Window shut??? Can even throw in likes of Wilson, Miggy, Dubs, Targett, Krafth, Lascelles. in terms of future let gos. If Newcastle are to grow as a club, we need to be more tactical in our approach regarding transfers. The only way Newcastle can truly move, isif we finally clear out a chunk of the squad that isn't fitting for where we want to be. Yes, most of those players aren't starters for us, but clearing them out would give much needed wiggle room that we could fill properly.

This is why we lost Anderson and Minteh. Two players who arguably, would've been better in depth players, then all those I've listed. All this is, is a hit to make it as if there is a rift at Newcastle, when really there isn't.

  2. Why didn't we get Guehi? Because Palace wanted twice what he's worth and if we get pressed into panic buying whoever, then we sure as hell are going to have PSR troubles. I choose to believe being frugal going to benefit us in the long run. Lloyd Kelly has looked pretty solid so far too.

  3. Mitchell simply said going forward need to change model … ffp . Never said any existing player was poor buy simply moving different strategy . Media creating an issue as per

  4. The problem with the media is they pick parts of any comments made my anybody at Newcastle, or about Newcastle, and rearrange them to suit their own purposes. There is no drama – or nowhere near as much as these people would like everyone to believe. I haven't heard criticism from either person supposedly involved in this argument. They aren't airing any washing in public, they are answering questions from journalists desperate for drama where there is none.

  5. Howe is not being critised.. Mitchell is critical of the data gathering so Eddie has information to identify second and third options. Eddie does not have that information to hand though. It is nothing to do with Eddie's job. You want Guehi, we can't get him, so look at this player and his stats being almost or exactly the same what do you think?… Having one player or none is daft.

  6. Simon is talking perfect sense the other two are trying to drag up drama.

The media have created a story, are putting it on them and then creating more stories about it just to fill articles and content because they’ve got bugger all to write about

Almost so many of the stories we’ve heard about Newcastle since the takeover have been flat out lies, even before the takeover when they had it on “good authority” and from “sources” that PIF had walked away

  7. Simon preaching!!
    He is saying the truth!!

Sick and tired of this agony, and the negative angle the media goes after NUFC.

Reporters and journalists trying to drag down the whole club.

I am displeased with the attitude,!!

spinning on made up stories about internal conflict with the club. I have seen both speak on the situation and didn’t the media angle ONE BIT!

  8. Much as I'm reluctant to agree with Simon I do agree Barnes is a better substitute to change the game.

Eddie did not bring up Mitchell's comment, it was the press.

  9. None of you know anything about the situation. Media just looking at a spin because you have nothing else to talk about. Just filling up time. Simon is spot on with his assessment so stop talking about it.

  10. As a Newcastle supporter, all the media response that is happening seems to be to disturb the management doing their job at Newcastle. Newcastle are 3rd and they are getting more scrutiny than when they were bottom under Bruce before the takeover. Reporters then seemed to revel in the demise of this great football club. Analysis is due at the end of this season when the likes of Newcastle, Aston Villa, Brighton, Nottingham Forest and their successes/failures will not be revealed in if they are better than the top 6.
