This week we welcome Ali Carter onto the channel for the first time. The Captain talks to Stephen about beating cancer, the infamous barge with Ronnie O’Sullivan, the standard of the most recent World Championship and what his goals are for the rest of his career. It really is a fascinating conversation.

We finish with 10 Quick Questions in the sky! Ali takes Stephen up in his plane for a little flight around the local area, whilst answering your questions. You don’t want to miss that so you make sure you stick around until the end.

  1. I realised like 2 mins into the video that I actually have the same cue as Ali. The only thing different is mine is the 2 piece version

  2. What a nice fella Ali Carter is, will definitely be cheering him on from now on 👍

  3. At least Ali is a better human being than John Terry who appeared on the channel and had an affair. Ali had cancer.

  4. One doesn't t beat cancer ….. one survives cancer. Or everyone who died of cancer is a looser. Don't think so.

  5. I'm the biggest snooker fan in the world, spent 10 years and over $200k following the tour around the world pre covid. 2 players I would never sit at their table; Ronnie and Selby.

  6. I agree with other comments, this is the best one so far.
I really respect Ali as a player and he is a decent human being. What he went through with his health issues and how he has come out the other side is an inspiration to others. I agree with him, medication is not the be all and end all to deal with illnesses. I am testament to this as well.
Great watching Ali win recently. All the best to him in the future, deserves to win a world championship.

Cordialmente.

  9. Really enjoyed that 👏👏👏. Nice to hear the other side of the story from Ali too. I can imagine Ronnie being a nightmare to play against

  10. Loved watching you pair in this video. I am a big Ronnie fan, but also you two guys are legends. Thanks for posting this 👍

  11. Ali is tenacious and I always enjoy his game. He has got better and better over the years. Long may he continue 👌

  12. I reckon the British attitude has a lot to do with their success in snooker – they can be getting hounded by anyone (including other Brits) or any situation but they don't loose sight of the goal. Ali is a top snooker player and now, I can see he is a top bloke as well.

  13. Ali is a Worldy 💯. Through adversity and pain, he has shown what you can do when everything is on the line. I appreciate you as a proper man. Thanks to Ali and Steven for this. Much appreciated. ❤️
