Golfers beware, coming too much from the inside swing path could ruin your golf swing. The inside swing path can often be misinterpreted and over exaggerated. Many golfers including myself, can get caught up in the notion that attacking the golf ball from the inside path is the best way to swing a golf club. The perfect swing path is derived from a circular swing motion. This means, the club will coming slightly from the inside to a square impact position and then on a slight inward path in the follow through.

Bare in mind that there are no straight lines in the golf swing and that the correct golf swing sequence should always be based on a circular swing action, anything else could ruin your golf swing.

  1. this is what was happening to me recently. something that's been helping me lately is doing some moe norman style leg action from the top. just as he's nearing the top of his backswing, he begins the transition by kicking the flex out of his trail knee so it goes behind him, while simultaneously buckling/bending the left knee. this causes the hips to max out their turning range and then quickly recoil the other direction. this recoil naturally/automatically transfers your weight to your lead leg, which you can use to push your lead hip back as you impact and follow through.
