NEW 2024 MIZUNO IRONS – LONGER Distance For SLOWER Golf Swings!?

I’m SO CONFUSED By The NEW Mizuno JPX 925 Irons

These New Irons Are BRILLIANT BUT THERE’S 1 BIG PROBLEM £?

  1. I just like that when the new clubs come out, the older ones get cheaper. Honestly, it’s great that people keep buying new clubs because it really suppresses the second hand market.

  2. Mizuno are definitely using a formula in their new designs
I'm gaming the 243's and there are startling similarities
These seem to play like a hotter 243 apart from the landing angles but for me I really don't understand the cranked lofts
Most people using these are going to have headcovers from 6 iron upwards and they'll need to be buying cavity back wedges
Also it would be difficult to gap the set with odds or evens only
Most seniors I know play half sets since they only have 7 or 8 yards in between consecutive clubs
I'm not sure what market these are aimed at
I think I'd go Qi 10 irons in this category

  3. Just picked up a set of 923 hotmetal ( fully fitted) and I gotta say these things are fantastic, the sound and feel are incredible, the distance and accuracy are right on.
I paid 1099cdn and feel I got a great deal.
These are my first set of fully fitted clubs and couldn’t be happier that I went with Mizuno. I tried several different irons ( Cobra, Wilson, titleist) and the feel was what won me over with the Mizuno.

  4. I had the first model 4 years ago, fitted for me, the new ones look a bit different at the back. Brought my handicap down from 12 to 6 in one summer.

  5. I must say I normally think mizuno makes some of the best looking clubs out there. These I’m afraid are a huge miss. They look to busy and cheap. If they truly help people play better golf I could get past their looks. I just heard the first shot and even before James comment I thought they sounded great as well.

  6. My 5 iron would have ran out less than that 9 iron. But the golfer playing these clubs I doubt worries about how quick they stop.

  7. Your point about landing angles is super relevant, James. I bought a set of new Forged Tec X irons last year without paying full attention to all the numbers during the fitting. Custom fitted off the 7i (27deg) they went miles (for me) at the time. I got so hung up on distance I completely overlooked the descent angle. When I tried them out on the course last summer they came in so low they just wouldn’t hold the greens. I parked them and looked for something with more loft. Picked up a set of used but mint Wilson D9 Forged irons for no money, and have been super happy with them. Sensible lofts, so they stop on the greens, and with a slightly lighter shaft, the distance is perfect for me as a senior – 7i 150 ish yards. I worry that the increasing focus on distance from manufacturers might be not be good for the game. You have to have some serious swing and ball speed to get these irons to perform – you’re in the 90’s and they still don’t stop, what about when you’re 15-20mph slower? Hopeless.

  8. I just ordered a set of these , during the fitting we adjusted the shaft choice for a higher window and good landing angle ,I will fit the ball when I get them also I found them quite a bit less then other name brands in the same category .

  9. when is the next 100 tour video with you and Chris you have only put one up and that's from 3 weeks ago so where is the second one and your 3rd one you should answer your subscribers as you keep saying comment below but you don't answer people it's a joke and your a joke to

  10. advertising balls drivers irons putters every bloody time we want proper golf people don't have the money to get these you get these for nothing

  11. I was thinking of selling my 2021 stelth irons and getting these. Watching this video got me thinking im better off with my older set, they don't go as far but they stop fast on hard greens. Not sure i need a 7 iron that travels 200 yards either. In the US they would cost me around 1300$, thats a bit much. Thanks for the review, helped me make up my mind about my irons.
