Today, Ian is in the bay reviewing the new Callaway Apex Ti Fusion irons.

These irons are already creating buzz in the golf world by pushing never before seen technology boundaries. Featuring a multi-material construction, the Apex Ti Fusion irons benefit from a forged titanium face and a forged steel body.

Why is this tech such a revolution? Because up until now, Titanium was only used for driver faces. Callaway has utilized Titanium because it is remarkably strong, flexible and lightweight, making it ideal for generating speed and great feel at impact.

So just how good is this technology when it’s put in an iron? Let’s tune in and see!

  1. I’m between these and 770. I would need to strengthen. Where I could weaken these. Going to hit them in the bay today and make the decision. I bought t150 and don’t get the distance I need from them. I need distance without losing control.

  2. Just thinking down here in AZ the sparks you get from titanium hitting rocks could be an issue. Maybe a couple little fires starting in dry brush from impact from a dirt/rock lie. That would make for an interesting round 😂

  3. I don't change clubs often, so price isn't a concern if it's the correct fit you could have these for many years. However I am a little concerned about the finish, there are other black finishes that seem to wear/stratch in a patina way, from the pictures I've seen online this is something different with black pieces flaking off. Callaway talk about this being the most durable black finish ever but something seems to have gone a bit wrong with the bonding. Johney said something like he assumes they will address it (don't think it was actually insight that something is changing) but it'll be annoying for early adopters. They are right in my wheelhouse though.

  4. Price would be my only concern, feels like the titleist and taylormade options are a little too strong at the cost comparison

  5. Like the finish, like the test results, but I think for my game not enough benefits to justify the price.

  6. Love my Apex 21's , These have the same lofts I think, But if I'm spending $300 per club for a 4 iron – AW I would want my club finish to last awhile before looking "Tattered".

  7. I love mine. Best irons I've ever hit. 3-5 yards longer, more spin, more forgiving… they are unreal. Finish is disappointing but everything else is phenomenal.

  8. Curious what percentage of you sales include 4 iron. Might be better the do testing W 7 5 with modern iron and not the 4? And these things look awesome.

  9. If ping made their Icrossover utility iron line all the way down to a pitching wedge it’d probably out preform this. Plus their black coding actually last.

  10. I was ready to replace my 2021 X Forged Star irons with these but have to admit the negative comments on the finish have me worried. That said I was able to hit the 7 iron and there's no question it was outstanding.

  11. Best irons i have ever hit! Finish hasn't been too much of an issue, only have one knick but that was my fault for hitting it out of a rocky lie. Personally i cant hit a 4 iron, so i have the 20 deg UT to fill that gap. Overall, for a forged titanium face to feel that soft is amazing! Dare i say they feel better than the Apex CB's that are a single piece forged iron. Also, dont let the size fool you, these are as forgiving or more on mis hits as anything else in its category.

  12. Cobra 3D and this TiFusion are the most innovative monsters this year. Hit them both. Still thinking about it, price is a big factor in the decision. Basically 2 sets or 1 set……

  13. Hi guys another awesome video. Loved the live last night too keep them coming. Can I have your thoughts on the Denali blue driver shaft need a review on that please. Keep it up boys.

  14. I don't think I've ever owned an iron set where the heads rust on the wear areas. If these irons tend to rust at the junction in the sole, that might be because of electrolytic reaction between dissimilar metals. That could be a potential fail point for the head.

  15. I can see where something like this would help me. Like the profile of my smaller irons but I'm on the downside for speed where this could provide some help. Price does not offend me so much if they deliver as promised, but not a fan of the dark finish at all. Can live with a dinged up satin finish but the worn black finish looks like crap to me.

  16. Is the black on the back of the club head staying on? I’ve seen other reviews and there are scratches and chips on the back of the club head after very light use – maybe just after contacting other clubs. A lot of money for something to look beat up quickly. But curious what you guys have seen.
