This Golf Course Was Amazing – Hidden Gems season 5 Kirkistown castle golf club

Here we are, Golf Mates, at the first hidden gem of season five! After an incredible weekend at Carus Green for the Golf Mates Day, we set off on our adventure. Our journey took us north to Cairnryan, where we hopped on the Stena Line ferry to Belfast. The crossing took just a couple of hours, and before we knew it, we were driving to our first stop: the Cairn Bay Lodge. What an amazing place! A huge shout-out to Chris and Jenny, our lovely hosts who made us feel right at home. Their lodge is a truly unique stay, brimming with arts and crafts. We had such a great laugh with them and want to give them a big thank you for their warm hospitality.

After a fantastic night’s sleep, we were eager to make the short drive to our first course of the trip: Kirkistown Golf Club. What a way to kick things off! The welcome we received was second to none (as was the case everywhere in Northern Ireland!). The pro and captain greeted us with food and drinks and were more than happy to share the history and character of the course with us. As you’ll see in the video, Kirkistown did not disappoint!
