On today’s episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Crouchy, Chris and Sids are back to it giving their hot take on all the biggest events in football over the past seven days.

There were some big deadline day transfer news since the lads last got together and Pete gives his final say on whether Rice deserved to be sent off after THAT red card decision….

Although there was less scores on the doors this weekend, it has made this race a lot tighter at the top, with Notorious and Chris now neck and neck on 9 points whilst Crouchy trails just one point behind in third place.

With the international break now upon us, the cat has certainly been thrown and whilst Starky is still sh*thousing the rest of the lads asking for external help it’s safe to say this race could be blown wide open this weekend.

The games the lads are giving their predictions on this week are Ireland v England, France v Italy and Wales v Turkey! Let us know your score predicitons in the comments below!

  1. Chris confirmed my point

First offence is throwing ball at feet of opponent walking from given fk. Then swiping

Ref has to get his job done first before worrying about Rice

It's a booking for Brighton player

Rice has complied with his only requirement of walking away

Ball at Rice is not at the point of fk

Just another mor on accredited by fa

  2. Ooooh, cut that atmosphere with a knife when Sidwell accused Chris of knowing about the point add on!!! 😂
True competitive juices coming out for this seasons prediction challenge

  3. Great show and thanks for sharing. It was not a yellow card. Why? Because when Rice touched the ball it was still rolling, the ball was not stationary for a restart. Had the player kicked the ball to restart the ref, who had already forced a restart for a moving ball would have had to do it again. The ref got it wrong, the pundits got it wrong. By the letter of the law, nothing should have happened other than the play being restarted because the ball was moving. The problem is the ref gave a yellow card, which is not reviewable, even though it led to a red card. This is a case where the process of when and why a card should be given is important. The ball technically was not set, no free kick could have been taken under the circumstances, quick or otherwise until the ball was not moving. So the ref made a call. It was wrong and could not be reviewed. The problem lies in that other refs being paid by the league advise the TV pundits on what to say and gas light most decisions especially incorrect ones. In the end the ref made the wrong call, the call could not be reviewed as it was a yellow card offense and not a straight red. The ball was not in play, the player attempting to restart play was doing it illegally and in fact was attempting to get the yellow card given to Rice. Was Rice wrong to toe the ball, yes, but the play could not have been restarted while the ball was still rolling. So not really time wasting. Just my take on it. I am not an Arsenal or Brighton fan. Just a neutral with a background as a Referee a long time ago. Chris

  4. No wonder he was mesmerised by the artwork,it’s all shite….subjectively speaking….is that Ronald mc D on the one above bbqc

  5. Wimbledon has to be the lowest attendance when ground sharing with Palace. I remember that place being empty week after week.

  6. We are all at it. But Sidwell you are showing classic phone addiction. Can’t stop fiddling with it. Looking at it. Making the screen larger and smaller. They interactive screen gets us all addicted

  7. Rammers conceding four goals shows that for keepers at least playing a day after transfer may not be the best idea

  8. “Not Mike Dean Forever” is absolutely insane work, hats off to Craig Brown, seriously clever.

It’s also a neat tie-in with this pod as when Mike Dean appeared on the original series (back when it was still on BBC Sounds – That Mike Dean Episode), Not Nineteen Forever actually came up during the episode! Foreskin shares Jon Moss’ top 3 records of all time and that is #3 on the list. Good stuff

  9. 14:50 Nice one buzzing for the call out lads! Haven’t Jota Clue Fc is our 6 a side league name also and we’re currently 2 seasons in, 2 trophies in the bag still currently unbeaten. I’m sending this into the lads as we speak 👊🏻😁
