The conversation revolves around the potential power plays and dynamics between the @PGATOUR and the @LIVGolf League and the financial backing of each. Ben/GolfLoverUK and Jay/Pro Golf Critic discuss the absence of LIV players in the Presidents Cup and the PGA Tour’s lack of obligation to select them.
They also explore the potential consequences of Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy participating in a made-for-TV Ryder Cup Style Match Play event with @_SmashGC Captain Brooks Koepka and @CrushersGC Captain @brysondechambeau. The conversation delves into the influence of Strategic Sports Group (SSG) and the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) in shaping the future of professional golf, including the possibility of PIF acquiring the @DPWorldTour and combining with @theasiantour International Series. The hosts speculate on the PGA Tour’s response and the potential impact on the sport.
The conversation covers various topics, including the season ending Tour Championship at East Lake, the potential changes in the PGA Tour moving forward, the need to reduce the number of events, and the impact of sponsors on the tour. They also discuss the upcoming LIV individual championship at #LIVGolf Chicago, and make predictions on the winners, between @TorqueGC Captain Joaquin Niemann, and @LegionXIIIGC Captain Jon Rahm and speculate on the players designated for relegation.
The conversation ends with a lighthearted discussion about the LIV Golf predictions for 2025 and the potential names for a new Japanese LIV team.

Pres Cup is non-event
Tiger wants total control over PGAT…a true narcissist
If LIV can buy Euro tour, it would be perfect for LIV, can use it as a base for a world tour….OWGR RANKING ETC
Good points about the PGAT being stuck between a rock and a hard place with the media rights for Scottie and Rory.
Guys, when LIV came along it piqued my interest in pro golf and I found myself watching more PGAT, more DPWT, and more of the womens game on the back of the evolving pro game, but right now, I’m over the PGAT, it’s been held to ransom by a guy that doesn’t compete anymore, and thinks 300 bucks for a tank top is acceptable – who thinks his legacy overrides the future of the game of golf. It absolutely does not 👍
TV ratings for the Scottie/Rory vs. Brooks/Bryson match will be off the charts and will blow away the FedEx Cup Championship.
Bry58n & Brooks vs Rory & Scheffler will be huge. 3 recent major winners – and Rory McIlroy…..that will do much higher ratings than the President's Cup.
Scottie is a star now?
Leishman and Ortiz and Ancer would make the presidents cup team?! I love you two so much
Everything we have said has happened…
Mmm yea sure, Ben.
Why don't any of your LIV contacts throw you a RT?
Rahm to 4 majors.
I'll make a prediction. He will have a massive LIV sophemore slump and will struggle in majors once again. (If nothing changes with schedule)
PGC also said Phil would have a Top 10 in a major.
Congrats on prediction major winners will win another one.
Gutted there was no Red. We needed some pizzazz and razzle dazzle.
Love that comment from Jack. Will be using that.
Great way to end the show
I do agree with you that Liv/pif will take over that 40% stake in DP World Tour which is owned by the PGA tour and i guess that will happen by the end of this year, thanks for your analysis
It's crazy what little talk there's been of the TGL league. Is this still set to become a "thing" come January? Methinks it's never going to get off the ground.
Thanks guy’s! I like the content. And I get more information than the main stream golf media! Cheers!
if the pga goes away it will be a great day….
what a great show…..
Live in Dubai….LIV schedule allows players to play in Dubai events on DP World ….they can play in Dubai in DP World in January and then start LIV schedule in Saudi Arabia couple of weeks later…
STOP THE CLICKBAIT, NO RORY AND SCOTTY ARENT OFF TO LIV FFS… SCOTTY IS BEATING WEAK ASS FIELDS, SORRY HE ISNT AS GOOD AS TIGER BY A COUNTRY MILE.
