    Got my smart ball and hit 50 balls today.
    It was so much harder than I expected
    I followed your lead – hit 3 – then have 3-5 exaggerated practice swings
    I still had some inconsistent strikes – to be expect for day one
    But
    Also had some good contact – with nice crisp sound.

Coach, would you agree that probably everyone watching has different swings, its so varied its frightening eh?? so with all respect the varying level of skill sets makes it almost impossible to say , do this or do that, it just complicates everything, maybe a simple video with the absolute "musts" i have verygood eye/hand contact and have just started to work on drawing the ball more , ita working as i release /wrap the clubhead around the ball at 7pm and throw mty arms out to the left drawing a la topspin tennis motion through and finishing left its starting to work, just working on start lines to get the finished ball landing ideally, im han 9, 65, years old, been as low as 3, draweing will give me the extra distance i need , ideas and regards

  4. The best explanation of active vs. passive release I've seen.
    The Tommy finish or feeling I'm trying to hit a long one under an avenue of trees helps me.
    I was an active releaser but golf is so much easier with a passive release.
    For years, I wondered why my low recovery shots under trees were so straight.

  6. Why is it that whenever I am demonstrating how to hit a shot around the green or with an iron to help my brother I hit it perfectly but when it comes to my own shots they are always so meh. Lol

  7. I had a difficult time with rotation. I understood I needed get the hips more open at impact and continue rotation, but no matter what I tried, my hips would stall and I'd be more or less square at impact.

    Two things helped me fix this problem;
    1) Stop over rotating my hips during the backswing. There was too much distance to cover and it made it difficult to build tension. The feeling of keeping the lower body more quiet helped.
    2) Understand that impact should feel like it happens "behind" me. Once my intention changed to getting the low point 1-1½' behind the ball, it forced my body to rotate.
