How is the Callaway X2 Hot? How is the TaylorMade JetSpeed? Is the Callaway X2 Hot better than the TaylorMade JetSpeed? Is the TaylorMade JetSpeed better than the Callaway X2 Hot? These are questions that I have been asked recently and to be honest with you there are many answers to these questions depending on who is looking at them and who is hitting them.

I first want to say YES I realize I kept calling the Callaway the X Hot 2 in the video. I guess I just wished they would have called it that!

Hi guys and welcome to another data comparison video. This is the first try at a little voice over so please bear with me as I am sure I will get better at these going forward (maybe). Today we are comparing the 2014 Callaway X2 Hot 15* 3 fairway wood vs the 2014 TaylorMade JetSpeed 15* 3 fairway wood. This comparison I am including a sound clip from each club at impact. Please keep in mind that my audio equipment isn’t the highest quality but you can get a great idea how both sound next to each other. Just like my other videos I am posting some data results from the 20 swing test using the FlightScope Launch Monitor. I tested the clubs with their stock still shafts which were not a 100% perfect fit for me but I wanted to test what a lot of you out there will probably test first. Will any new equipment purchase I highly advise anyone to seek out the expertise of a fitter and in my opinion if you want to get the most out of the fitting, find one that has either a FlightScope or Trackman.

I personally liked the look and feel of both the TaylorMade JetSpeed and the Callaway X2 Hot. Both of have a nice fairly dark matte finish which besides looks great reduces a bit of glare if thats what you are interested in. Both have graphics on the crown which in my opinion are not over bearing but they are there. I do know a lot of people do not like the look of graphics on the top but you might find these to blend into the matte finish better than most. The big difference between the two with their stock shafts (TaylorMade JetSpeed has Matrix Velox T 69 grams and Callaway X2 Hot has the Aldila Tour Blue Fairway which is a 60 gram shaft) was the swing weight. The TaylorMade JetSpeed has a D5 swing weight while the Callaway 2X Hot has a D3 which was noticable as you can imagine. Please watch the video to see the data results. So did I hit the Callaway further? or did I hit the TaylorMade further? Or does that even answer the question of which one is better for me. Watch to see.
