  1. with kyle tucker returning in september it’s going to be really hard for the mariners to make it past the astros. It’s AL west or bust for them and right now it’s looking like bust lol

  2. The fact that Marc is scared of my Braves again, you know it’s gonna be a good day! But being honest, the Padres and Phillies are still the teams to beat in the NL.

  3. Phillies, Guardians, Dodgers, and Brewers bullpens are better than the Padres but they're all good.

  4. The Padres is scary as hell. I would not want to face that team for sure, the only way that they get eliminated IMO is if they cool down around the end of the season, same with the diamondbacks.

  5. Guardians not winning the division is a very reasonable take, but missing the playoffs entirely is going to take a lot. You would need Boston (6.5 GB) to really get hot plus both the Royals and Twins to pass them up too.

  6. There’s no way having the best year ever literally just a couple years ago Ohtani pitched for the best ERA and also hit 300 with like 50 bombs and 40 stolen bases

  7. I barely count seasons before integration because the talent pool was infinitely lesser (since it barred players of color). So when comparing pre and post integration players and seasons, I ALWAYS favor post integration. The talent pool overall was MUCH better post integration

  8. Elly's season sure is a crazy statistical one. coming up on 200 strikeouts with 61 stolen bases is wild

  9. that's because MLB would not allow Othani to remain in the American League otherwise Judge will never be an MVP and he's not doing it all legally' that is sports are strategically rigged.

  10. While it's very possible that the Royals or Twins snatch the division, who would overtake the Guardians for the wild card? The Red Sox are falling apart, the Mariners could still catch the Astros for the West but they're not catching any of the wild cards and the Rays and Tigers just aren't that good.

  11. So who’s overtaking the guardians for the last WC spot? The Red Sox? Just a horrendous take that is not supported by basic math.

  12. Padres HAVE to get hot late in the year, they play emotionally more so than other teams, if they’re slumping come playoffs they’re losing first round. If they’re hot they can go all the way.
