Silverado Resort and Spa Golf Course (North) | 18-Hole Golf Vlog and Review | PGA Tour Venue
In this video, I play 18 holes in the wine country as I play a PGA Tour venue, and the home to the now-named Fortinet Championship, previously known as the Safeway Classic, at Silverado Resort and Spa’s North Course.
This is the “championship course” of the two courses as if you play it from the tips, which seems very unfun, it plays extremely long. The word most people use to describe this course is massive.
Add to the fact that Napa is home to many great wineries like the
Del Dotto Estate Winery And Caves, and Sattui Winery St., as well as restaurants like The French Laundry, Bouchon and The Charter Oak (a must if you want to go out to a good meal).
Silverado North Course has less foot traffic, and only mainly from resort guests who might be walking back to units on the property from using some of the amenities on the site.
My favorite holes are as follows
Hole 3 – A dogleg left par-4 that requires a well-placed drive to a long green that is small in some sections
Hole 8 – My favorite Silverado hole. A fairway wood to the bottom of a hill, followed by a wedge up a hill to the most sloped green on the course.
Hole 11 – A beautiful par-3 that is just as much a work of art as it is a golf hole
Hole 14 – A straight-forward par-4 with trouble left and bunkers right. It always feels very fun to play it.
Hole 17 – A par-4 that is a baby version of hole 8 with a risk-reward option on this short par-4 that doglegs left up the hill. One of the deepest bunkers on the course sits in front of this green and it is hard to judge distance without experience here

I actually liked the slow motion frame as it is easier to see your shot shape. I would encourage you to keep your commentary positive about your golf game so your subconscious doesn't hold onto the negative. Remember, golf is about scoring and not what a person looks like when they swing. A swing that may "look bad" can still score better at times than another person's swing that may look better. 😀
great video! I went to the 2022 fortinet championship here, looks great wish i could play it.
The burger dog shack is closed! Silverado is a tricky course. Did you stay their to play it? Hole 8 is definitely a fantastic hole and green is nasty
Hi Luke, I have watched several of your videos now of some courses I want to play – either for the first time or that I haven’t played for many years. I appreciate your content and I hope you are ok with some feedback on what I would find more helpful. It would be great if you have some of the features like Golf Sidekick adds with a graphic of the hole layout and a display of the distance to the hole for each shot perhaps even your thought process on the shot selection which you are starting to do. This video has more commentary on the style of the holes and strategy which I appreciate and would like more of. It all is helpful context for previewing and thinking about the golf course which would add a lot to your vlog, in my opinion. That would engage me thoroughly even on courses I have played. Thanks.
youve stepped up youre game since last ive watched in 2021. i got you at a 79 at Silverado North! keep it up. its not how it looks but what you score. you definitely beat most amateurs.
