Oleksandr Usyk became the undisputed world heavyweight champion back in May when he beat Tyson Fury by 12 round split decision. Usyk and Fury are scheduled to have a rematch on December 21st. Can Tyson Fury win the rematch against Oleksandr Usyk to reclaim the lineal heavyweight crown?

  1. 100% Fury can win it. In the middle rounds of the fight, he was on top but he toko the foot off his gas for whatever reason and Usyk stepped up but I saw enough in those middle rounds to know it's possible!
Usyk will have something to say about it, though.

  2. Why would anyone want a trash talking thug who lies and disrespects his opponents to win?
Usyk who is a gentleman and respectful deserves to win of course.
You'd have to be a nut job to be a fury fan. Don't believe me? Just look at replies I get….

  3. Usyk was in serious trouble in the middle of the fight. If Tyson had jumped on him like he did against wilder it would have been a stoppage. End of. Can he get fit enough to do 12 rounds if necessary?

  4. Tyson fury was never lineal. The consensus number 1 never fought the consensus number 2. When the consensus number 2 retired, his belt was taken by a guy who never wanted to be great.

  5. Hope he gets knocked out cold this time, fury is a liar and has fought no one decent in year's,hes bad for boxing and is too greedy

  6. Feels like Fury needs to be on the front foot a bit more, he had the most success when pushing forward.

Usyk constantly pushing the pace will just wear him down again.

  7. I had Fury as the favorite for the first fight, but the fight did not play out like I expected at all. I expected it to be an ugly fight where Fury would lean on Usyk for the first five rounds and maybe even get some points deducted. Instead we got a real boxing match by both athletes and I was very pleased with that. Fury thought he was the better boxer and that it would be enough to win him the match. Turns out Fury is an extremely good boxer, but Usyk is just a generational talent.
Will Fury insist on being the best boxer or will he settle for being the best fighter? I'm exited for the rematch and hope both will come without injuries and in peak condition.

  8. if Fury does not realize he needs to shed both weight and ego to become a real athlete then he will not win and then Usyk probably retires on the top

  9. Fury is still a very dangerous fight for Usyk because Fury still has a massive size and weight advantage. Both men are clever fighters who are able to adapt mid-fight so you can bet Fury learned as much about Usyk as Usyk did of him. I really hope Usyk takes the second win because i'm no fan of Fury and i think Usyk is simply the better boxer, but by Usyks own admission the last fight was a very hard fight for him and it will be again. I really hope Usyk can do it.

  10. Great vid Rummy. I didn't see what AJ could have done differently to beat Usyk in his rematch and I don't see what Fury can do to win his. When you're beaten by a better boxer that's that; there's no point in a rematch. Fury doesn't have the conditioning to keep up with Usyk's work rate and he appears not to want to win as badly as Usyk does. Fury comes out with comments like 'I just came her to get laid and get paid'. Not only that, Usyk is feel…………he is VERY feel! Lol. But I ain't exactly Quasimodo over here either…………Fury has proved that he is capable of writing his own Rocky movies! He has beaten the odds on several occasions in the past, so I give him a tiny chance of performing a miracle again and I'd love to see it. But it's very, very unlikely. I think Usyk will win bigger this time. He might even force a late stoppage too.

  11. You touched on it Rummy, I think Fury's wear and tear is going to show a lot more this time around, and I'm picking Usyk by stoppage late. Fury can't bully Usyk physically as Usyk's feet are too good, and he sure as hell can't break him mentally, so I expect more of the same tactically from Fury.

  12. A few points that don't go against anything youve said, but i think are good to point out.
The ref definitely prevented Usyk from getting a proper knockdown or even to get a full combo off on Fury in the first fight. I still think Fury would have gotten up, but it's interesting to note
Also, Usyk is known for taking a "break" mid fight before turning the pace back on later in the fight, so the whole, they did win the middle rounds argument that was there for AJ and now for Fury, may not be as pertinent as people think

    Love the vids 😊

  13. Fury has no chance. Usyk will retire him from boxing. This time by a stoppage. Only chance fury has if he's paid the ref and judges should it go the distance.

  14. Usyk did well not accept the clutch. Was good tactic. Fury couldn’t be physical because usyk didn’t let him. Just like AJ.

  15. Thanks Rummy. I completely agree on the preparation and tactics that Fury should use to win. These could work – but it will be a special effort to get the W.

  16. I am not taking anything away from usyk

1 st fight Fury lost, I thought he over trained, when he was on he really put it on usyk.

2nd fight fury, he be back stronger and that boxing skills will shine.

    Fury all the way

  17. In my opinion, Fury starts as the favorite. There is not much that Usyk can do differently in the rematch but there is a lot that Fury can.

If Fury walks Usyk down and tries to go for the finish early, I think he will overwhelm him with his size. If that 1 round with the knockdown did not happen, Fury would have won the previous fight too.

Usyk should have ducked this rematch and forever denied Fury the chance of being HW king again, just like Fury did to Usyk's countryman, Wlad.

  18. I think even if Fury wins, the first fight would still be remembered as the defining contest between the two. For one because the undisputed was on the line and both champions were undefeated at that point. More importantly however Usyk is significantly older than Fury and despite that he still won the fight when both were closest to their prime.
Personally that is why I think Ezzard Charles won the rivalry against Joe Walcott even if they were 2-2 against each other and also why I rate the Fight of the Century as a more significant win than the other two fights between Ali and Frazier. (individually)

  19. Usyk under performed in that first fight and also showed fury too much respect especially in the 10th when he really should have went for the kill. Usyk knows he can hurt fury now and the rematch will not be close at all.
