It can be a contentious debate, but I think iron headcovers are a great idea for several reasons, and I’ve used them for years. 1. I literally thought this was going to be a hilarious video. I thought he was going to say “fuck no” or something and we’d all laugh and clown the people who use iron head covers. Instead, this man gives us a rational and in depth explanation of why it is practical and economical to use iron head covers. Ironically, it also serves as a guide on how to lose friends and alienate yourself at the golf course and assure you never get laid again.

  2. The only iron head covers I'd use are transparent covers. To my surprise only one cover maker makes them. Craftsman Golf should release transparent iron covers. They look way better than the opaque ones imho.

  3. Yeah, No. Unless you want the world to know that you are completely freaking anal, I would NEVER use iron head covers for ANY reason. I have Mizuno forged irons and they click around in my bag and do zero damage to anything. This is just OCD in overdrive.

  4. Personally I don’t use them. I wouldn’t be against using them, but my irons are an old Tour Edge set from my Junior year of high school in 2006 when I was on the golf team. They’re old and I don’t play nearly enough to worry about them anymore. However, I’m looking at getting fitted next year for a complete set of TaylorMade or Ping clubs and I’d probably use iron head covers just to keep them in great shape as I’m obviously not someone who’s replacing clubs every few years. Heck, my newest clubs are a Nike VrII pro driver, 3 & 5 woods and a 2021 Ping Anser 4 putter. Everything else like my irons and TaylorMade wedges are from 2006😂

  5. Reason I used them..had a set up taylormade sldr that were 12 years old. In perfect condition, when I sold them I got top dollar because they were in top shape.

  6. I started using iron head covers years ago because the irons were clattering whilst walking and getting small dents. I have a friend who is a club professional, he hates them and said you don’t see tour pros using them! That was true until Aaron Rai came on the scene.
