Schmeichel and Bernardo are by far the best signings of the window in terms of value for money.
Idah, Engels and Bogusz are shocking value, I wouldnt have spent more than £4.5m on any of them, its looking like were going to pay double on all 3, nearly £25m to not improve the starting 11 is some going, it doesnt matter if this board buy 9 players or 3, their incompetence is still overwhelming.
Im not saying theyre terrible, Engels has a good physical foundation, but hes a project and Bernardo is ahead of him at this stage. Idah is a useful squad player and Bogusz will probably be half decent in Scotland. Its adding much needed depth to the squad, but its just not smart business, we should be getting game changers for those prices.
The problem is that these buys are not the result of smart scouting, theyre not the result of any scouting, theyre agent and Celtic connected recommendations (in the case of Bogusz). Celtic do not have any good judges involved in the process who can accurately put a number on a player and quickly pass on duds like Kwon.
Theres tons of value out there, Lyon just Tessman for 6m, Tottenham get Bergvall for 8.5m, we have the resources to have good judges all over Europe on our payroll, but were still stuck with Lawwells Rolodex from 20 years ago.
Don't get too attached to your heroes.
Money talks, take any offer for Kyogo or Hatate. They are never worth more than they are now.

we dont get better . the relay keeps things going. you might as well be asking man city to win the champions league by keeping stuart pierce and turning down saudi money. best we can do is be sustainable and modern as that puts us in a position to progress and take advantage when big changes happen. league reformats takeovers etc. but without those outside influences everything stays the same and thats a good thing. it's always more likely to collapse

The club has successfully moved on players and reduced the squad size, making the squad more manageable. O'Riley, Oh, MJ, Haksabanovic, Kobayashi, Siegrist, Lagerbielke (loan), Kwon (loan), and Hart have left the building for a combined 34m euros plus wages. Hopefully, we will bring in 4 or 5 first team ready players in the positions we all know we need strengthening.
