there was only one Dream Team and I'm proud that one of our Boston Celtics was part of it.
I was also proud that one of Larry's best opponents and best friends Magic was there too.
Two things about this
The term “dream team” was introduce into society
And a interesting fact there was only one country that beat them in just one quarter (Venezuela) 25-24 in the first quarter of a practice before Olympics, after that not other nation could get even close in any quarter
That was just a shiny gold team, where even the medals look pale on them in comparison

it's not just the big names. it's the fact that they had a roster full with hall of famers and the all were in their prime. they were scary..
For what the players get overpaid they should play every minute not 30 or less

Magic and Barkley dominated the Olympics. MJ was far less effective against the zone defenses allowed in Olympic basketball. Still, he and Scottie did their thing and had their way, pretty much whenever they felt like having their way. Just ask kukoc.
Only questionable person from that team is Malone. Thats just due to his questionable goings ons thats came to light. Sides that, team holds up 💪

The American US Olympic team would consist of college players. It would never put any professionals to play
So other countries would use their professional NBA athletes in the Olympics.
When America finally lost and kept losing, they said the next Olympics. They're going to allow NBA American players to participate in the Olympics and that's when they made the dream team and they just mangled everybody.
