  1. Nice one Midge some great advice as always .
Do like my r10 as an entry level device it’s within a few yards of much more expensive bits of kit as a lot of reviewers online have shown . For the average golfer think it is a good bit of kit if set up correctly . Will eventually upgrade it …be good to have putting ….hope my sim putting is better than real life ! Wonder if PGA show in Florida will bring any simulator goodies …. Thank you for the useful content ⛳️🏌🏼‍♂️

  2. Really enjoying these videos as I've just bought an R10. Bought a tarp to hit into and have a pop up net in the garage. Would love to build a cage but see metal store was not caught on and made their own golf cage kits

  3. I’m UK based I’ve converted my garage into a golf simulator room and without your help in the beginning I think I would’ve been lost. Rooms looking unbelievable now I’m really happy with it, only thing I would’ve probably done different is I would’ve maybe went with a gaming pc but because of the lack of room I went with a iPad

  4. I am in the UK built one for myself and my 2 junior children, lucky enough we are all right hand. Budget all was £2000. But this is full room enclosed.
R10, GS Pro, Used PC set to a Gaming PC with 1650 graphic card, ex range mat, ultra short throw projector floor completely artificial grass. walls are PU sound proof along with the ceiling area. Swing height 9ft 6inch, room is fine R10 to screen is 18ft . Good to date has been GS Pro and Garmin Golf ( Garmin is fine for junior fun).
Awesome golf just need to sort the over charging going on in the UK £65 when you exam it yearly. if the charge the same as the US $349 USD and £349 UK Sterling : (

  5. Evening, is the any chance you play by local course, here in Co. Donegal i created on The Golf Club on your Garmin r10. To see what it looks like. It's Ballybofey and Stranorlar GC or B&S Captains Day (with Crowds)

  6. Looking at building a garden room and putting a sim in. Long term project but starting when the weather gets a bit better. Have you got a video on ideal room sizes? Obviously we have restrictions in the UK with the heights of garden rooms 😢 so trying to work out the best way of achieving the ceiling height for a swing!! Any tips??

  7. Really enjoy your content, going for the skytrak myself. Have you ever heard of and used (or know anyone who has) the DeWiz golf watch? My swingpath has always been a real issue so looking into a golf aid that can give me feedback.

  8. Started with the R10 and a Spornia net. Added a good quality mat. It connects to my IPad. I have it setup outside for the moment and it has made a huge difference to my practice. I will eventually get an inside setup with a large screen and a projector and still use the R10, The R 10 is so close to more expensive launch monitors that I find it more than adequate, if I was a pro then the extra accuracy of a more expensive unit would be justified. Also the launch monitors are evolving at an incredible rate, the mid range launch monitors will need to drop their prices, Simulators are reaching a price point that the average golfer can afford, this will make it viable to drop prices as Sims emerge from a niche market to one where most golfers will consider adopting the technology. Exciting times ahead for golf simulators

  9. Interesting I found this video…happy to tell you full swing is coming this Friday to install mine. Swing catalyst and everything. Super stoked!

  10. I have decided on the Bushnell, but what is the least expensive pc/ipad/laptop I can to utilize the software?? This is my biggest question/unknown. Thanks

  11. I had a canvas/ boat cover shop make me a custom enclosure I can hang from my garage ceiling in 3 minutes. $1500. They even sewed a moving blanket behind the screen for noise and longevity. It will last for a very long time.

  12. When I moved in my new house i Bought a Mevo+ with little idea how to build a sim. I have a great setup now. I really agree with painfully researching everything and slowly buying stuff. Pretty hard to get everything right the first time.

  13. Good video. I'm gonna send this to my buddy who is in the midst of building a DIY simulator. I wholly agree with the 2nd guy on spending the extra $ on the launch monitor. The R10 is ok for the price, but remember, the R10 and other "light " monitors do not measure or calculate spin axis, hence they cannot provide an accurate representation of ball flight, draw/fade, slice/hook. Therefore, you will be a much better, straighter golfer using the R10 than you are in reality. It provides a reality distortion field that allows the user to remain in golf bliss. If u are serious about your game you need spin axis which is provided by MEVO+ or higher priced monitors. Luckily, they have the Rapsodo MLM 2 Pro which is slated to be launched end of month. We'll see if it performs as they claim. But the rapsodo, reportedly, will be capable of measuring!! spin axis. For 700$. We shall see. I'll believe it when I see it type of thing, but I am hopeful.

  14. I just got the R10 a month or so ago. Installed hooks in my garage ceiling to hang my net from. Paid a little more for a good hitting mat. Got an iPad that can mirror to my tv, and that’s pretty much it for now. In the future I plan on getting an impact screen, gaming laptop, and get GS Pro as I’ve found out R10 users have figured a way to get GS Pro to work with it. Launch monitors/sims are becoming more and more accessible for the average person that can’t, or don’t want to shell out tens of thousands of dollars. I eventually plan to upgrade probably to the Rapsodo 2 once I see all the feedback and people have run it through the ringer so to speak. Golf is one sport that has consumed my entire soul lol. I only started playing three summers ago including this one. I’m fully hooked. What a time to be alive golf wise and simulator wise!🙌🏽

  15. I have 8 foot ceilings I realize im not gonna be swinging drivers but I want to be able to hit up to a seven iron… how tall are your ceilings? I just bought a bushnell launch pro

  16. My question is the sound level. I want to put one out in my attached garage, and my hope is to get in a few rounds on the weekends and practice at night after the kids go to bed. Bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house so that my help a bit. Curious if anyone else has installed one in the garage and run into noise issues with bothering others that may be in the house? I put up an area rug to hit into to test the sound level but it is much quieter than when playing on actual golf sims. Not really wanting to spend the 500 on a screen just to test if it’s not going to pan out cause will likely not get much for any type of resale value.

  17. I started slow and improved my setup as I went and I'm super happy with it. Enclosure all homemade. SkyTrak & TGC 2019, bought a dedicated gaming computer. BIggest thing I'm glad I got was laser projector, was $5000 but wow totally worth it.

  18. are there any good simulators where you can play courses that don't require a subscription?

  19. Fiancé and I are building our first home very soon. Got the greenlight on the Simulator from her lol and I have spoke to my trackman rep but im open to all options at the moment. Any recommendations for Sims around $10-15k USD ?

  20. I've been looking at setting one up. My plan was to buy the launch monitor and just use it outside until I had the area set up for it. I have a big overhang on part of my porch and it's a vaulted ceiling. Plenty of room to eventually set up a screen, but I would want to put a proper floor down along with walls.

The price of the Garmin is very appealing, but I want accurate numbers so that it isn't just for fun and so that it gives proper feedback to improve my game. Is the Garmin that far off from the Mebo+, or is the biggest difference the lack of putting? I have no intention of putting. I don't think putting on the simulators adds a lot to the game, and if it isn't very accurate, it just takes away.

I guess the main question. Is the Mebo worth the extra $1300? If I want accuracy, do I need the Mebo? If the other style launch monitors aren't that much more expensive, why would I go with the radar tracker? I'm in the process of saving up to buy the main components, the Garmin would be much easier to explain to the wife and would be a short time of saving up. The Mebo, on the other hand, is a much longer investment.
