ABOUT THIS VIDEO
This year the budget golf simulator world has totally changed. There are three golf launch monitors under $1,000 that can all act as simulators, and are all accurate enough to be useful tools. They are the Rapsodo MLM2PRO, the Garmin Approach R10, and the Swing Caddie SC4.
None of them are perfect, and they’re all surprisingly different from one another. But the real question is which of these budget golf simulators is right for YOU? Watch this video where I pit the MLM2PRO vs the R10 vs the SC4 to help you decide which is the right fit.

Garmin can be found for 450.00 now.
One space consideration that you didn't address was, when hitting indoors, how far from your net do you need to be?
I'm using outdoor use only, which is more accurate and won't miss shots since I'll not have special balls? Thanks!
Leaning r10 or wave…-I returned the mevo+. I trust that carry is good enough. Mainly wondering if accuracy of spin, aoa, face/ club angle data. Any sense of relative accuracy ? Close enough?
Launch monitor, or simulator? I am looking for a device (budget) that connects to a projector to serve as a simulator with golf courses….ideas?
Rapsodo is to be Avoided, the Rapsodo tech support team is a joke. They will ignore you and the many many problems with the product. I strongly advise anyone to not buy this!
The Rapsodo isn't good, the support is terrible.
Watched a bunch of your videos this weekend to upgrade my Optishot (which I have loved) . Thanks for the thorough comments and honesty. Well done!
Which is the best one to play sim golf? Or does it all depend on the software?
R10 BEST BANG FOR THE $$$$$
good stuff
Does using the Titleist RCT balls help with the spin data on the Garmin R10?
I use a chrome book. Is the MLM2PRO compatible?
My Garmin R10 misses so many shots. I noticed whenever I swing too fast, the R10 seems to not capture it. Now, I have to swing slower which is still fun most of the time.
So the rapsoto can be used outside ? From what i heard is not very accurate if you not using the balls with the dots !! Is this correct
Best golf tech reviews on YouTube!! Took your advice and got a Precision Pro NX10 rangefinder last year and I’ve had nothing but good things to say about it. Now I’m interested in launch monitor and knew exactly where to come!
Great video. Is there any future video coming for the optishot galaxy overhead simulator? Would love to hear your opinion.
Awesome content! The technology is getting so good so fast. My channel started out doing OptiShot 2 reviews because there basically were none on YouTube and now the technology has exploded. Thank you for such great, informative videos. When buying one of these at home sims I always like to do my research and your channel helps!
Good high level info for each.
I was looking at the garmin. You mention no subscription needed which I like. The rapsodo cutting features without a subscription is criminal. Why do I need a subscription to have the data ported into my computer for e6 golf sim? But back to the garmin. You mention that spin is a bit iffy. I do not really care about the numbers as much as I care about it showing correct ball flights. I have no idea how these interact with e6 golf sim, but if the spin is not accurate, how does e6 translate that into correct ball flights? How does it know draw and slice amount? How can it know the face angle at impact if it is placed behind the golfer. Inside out swing with a closed face will hook way more than an open face with inside out swing.
The Rapsodo looks great but anything that locks out features that are built in without paying a subscription should just be avoided
