Not only that, teams found that this dude couldn't shoot beyond 5 ft from the rim so they let him open, just daring him to shoot while blocking all of his teammates
I don’t need him shooting jumpers but mans layup package looks so weird like he overthinks & complicates things … something shook him that hawks series and never looked aggressive since
The face he makes while shooting a free throw is one that a person makes when taking a test that wasn’t studied for
😂 Championship roster the Sixers still can't get passed the second round.
Giannis weakness is shooting, it never stops him from being great. Fultz went from being bust to a decent starter/rotational player.
When a beta male has the talent, but not the drive or mental toughness.
Its his own doing. Its hard to be great at something you dont really like to do. He enjoys the lime light and money of the NBA but doesnt enjoy the game and the hard work to become great. Simmon fans can blame injury an all that but learning how to shoot and hone your shooting skills has nothing to do with any of his injury. Just because he put out some videos of him shooting and working out to social media doesnt mean he is a hard worker. Kobe never do such a thing and we all heard stories from players of how he wakes up at 3 AM and finish working out at 6 AM then work on his game all day every day. I know not everyone can be a hard worker and mamba mentality like Kobe but atleast try. Ben Simmons doesnt even try. He try harder to dress up for the Met Gala than anything else
The big difference between Rose and Walton is that they want to contribute. They want to make the most of their NBA career in any fashion. How much does Simmons want to? He has the tools to be an interior scorer. But does he care enough to improve his free throw shooting?
DUDE WAS NEVER!! A generational talent!!! The scouts got that wrong at BEST HE WAS A RONDO !! Very limited offensively but can PASS THE BALL at an Elite level
the fact that he got a max contract for not shooting makes me mad . i could have been 6,10 with no jumshot
Sometimes, I'm really curious behind the scenes on how patient the Nets' front office is on keeping Ben Simmons and paying him THAT much of his salary despite obviously not being worth what he is being paid for.
bum
His basketball sucks😂😂😂😂😂
I understand that this is not just a hobby for him, but also his career/livelihood. But don't you want to be exceptional at your job and be there for your teammates? Where is the competitive fire to be the best ? Shame on Ben for taking this route. It's abundantly clear that he's not actually this bad, but he's choosing to not give AF.
He could’ve been Giannis. Giannis isn’t even a good range shooter still, but he can still get 30 a night with just athleticism and his frame. Simmons has a similar build, he can absolutely have done something similar by just being aggressive
Lost a lot of respect even amongst us Australians when he pulled out of the Tokyo games
Just stopped being on teams by awkwardly refusing to practice
The real issue is, they paid him TOO much TOO early, and he never cared about it. Mf is making 30M+ just coming off the bench.
Clayton you made it my boy!!!
5:52 There’s part of the problem
I still think he came be good man, just be in the right system
The opportunity of a lifetime and he threw it all away, just like Ja Morant. The wrong people have money. Fuck these clowns.
I almost 100 percent guarantee you it was a woman that messed him up mentaly like that
No trolling, no hate, just an informative video essay on his career up until now. Respect.
Look at that constant vacant stare, u can tell he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer
It took the Hawks game 7 of Ben passing the ball off instead of dunking to kill off the rest of his confidence. He's just there to earn money and look fashionable sitting on the bench now. He could have been a top 10 current NBA player if he had the work ethic, but he doesn't. He will forever be known as a coward and you can't come back from that.
I believe Ben Simmons is lying to everyone I believe he has a jump shot I don’t believe his back ever hurt.. he got payed and is waiting till this year to showcase his talent he is literally 27 he’s about to all out which is why the nets let everyone go
No real love for the game, he just like the lifestyle and money. Eliminate guys like this from the league by holding off Max Deals for an extra year or two, if they don't improve their skills, the hell with them, trade them for future picks and build with guys who really want to win.
Ben Simmons should join the Lakers; if he wants to renovated his career
Jesus is King❤❤❤
He was never a star- he's never won anything. Media lies.
4:04 "The WORST PLAY IN NBA HISTORY."
You cant fall if you dont shoot.
two things i disagree with this video about so far
1) Simmons rose and just stopped he never got better from when he was a rookie. Even his seasons were the same. He would play really good but not great, people would talk about how great he WOULD be WHEN he added X or Y to his game. Lose to like the Celtics in the playoffs like a joke. Then relase a hype video in the off season pretending that he was getting better before being the same player the next year.
2) It's not that Simmons could not shoot. You only take like 2 threes a season doesn't mean you cannot shoot. It means you WILL NOT shoot. Which is Worse.
I ki
Simmons needs to be the PG for the SUNS.
Listen:
He has all the shooters in the world. He only needs defense (he’s elite) and passing (he’s elite).
It would be a match made in Heaven for the Suns and for him seeking redemption.
Like anyone fast money and Big cars can sidetrack u. But he s still young and has the talent once he focuses. Dude is a nice guy but we all can get sidetracked sometimes
Can’t be hungry if you’re too well fed 🤷♂️
Maya jama done this to him. Gets engaged, left him for another man to get engaged elsewhere. You know lightskin guys get hurt by that the most.
😂😂😂
Funny human being in general.
Is like he has weaknesses and doesn’t want to deal with it but still wants to be a celebrity figure.
the guy was never a star. people were just dumb and overhyped him
Man give me his athleticism and height ill play for NBA with my heart and soul lmao
Ben was a beast but I dont know how you play basketball and can't shoot smfh….When I was a little kid I first learned to shoot with two hands like a girl then It only took me one summer in the gym everyday to change my shot and I have a great jump shot now so don't tell me Ben Simmons couldn't do that, maybe he should of got his ass in the gym wish i had his body with my jumpshot and he would be unstoppable…
He is not a good person, I can tell you that much. He has a dark spirit, I picked that up almost immediately after seeing him. Not a fan.
Shaq in awe of that 80 million in 55 games. 😂😂😂
Like it was said
He wants to live the lifestyle of an allstar NBA player but has no interest in playing basketball. Cannot work like that. I think he should just retire and live off his millions that’s he’s made
I see u in 2025/26 NBA season Ben My Australian brother mate,KEEP IT REAL 😎🦘🇦🇺🤙🏻🏀🔥💸
At the 1:47 mark that's an error, The 2017-2018 Philadelphia 76ers have a 52-30 record, not a 56-26 record.
