Leave my Topper alone!!!!!!!!
He was never a good manager
He’s gotten to the World Series and NLCS, up 3-2 but Phillies stopped hitting. It’s weird to want him fired
Who wants him fired I listen almost everyday and I don't hear fans calling for his job..
Why are y’all waiting until after they win a game to have this discussion lol
For a stretch in April-May, the Phils went 29-6. That's an .830 win % and totally unsustainable. When you have burst like that, eventually there's a regression to the mean. Even the Yankees had a run last month where they went 5-16. It happens.
This happens quite often in the opposite direction as well. A team expected to win 90 starts out 20-40 and fires the manager. Because of the talent on the team, that number's more than likely going to flip quickly. A replacement manager comes in and the regression just happens to begin. He looks like a hero where it likely wasn't about him at all.
There's a reason why Seattle's 116-win season is so hard to top. You just can't expect to sustain that kind of insanely high success during an entire year. Some say every team starts out at 40-40. It's what you do with the remaining 82 that sets your season up as a failure or success. The Mariners went 76-6 with those 82 games. A team would have to do better than that.
Leave Thomson alone you can't fire him just because they are in funk ok, Alot of teams have had their fair share of ups and downs, injuries to key players and pitchers, several hitters in a funk at the same time doesn't help neither etc. I don't think Dombrowski did enough at the trade deadline. Hopefully yesterday's win helps move them in the right direction. This season isn't over yet. So quit throwing in the white towel.
Calm down! They slumped they do it every year, we’re gonna be back in our winning side and smash Arizona
Dodger series is 3 games, not 4. Arizona = 4. Phillies need to win a minimum of 4 out of this 7. Optimally, at least 5 wins. Wheeler pitched a gem. Lifted the team. Outside of Nola, no one else in the starting rotation at the moment to command that type of game control.
Didn't they have the best record in the majors 10 days ago? So the manager had nothing to do with that, but he's to blame when they lose?
Impatient dimwit manager wannabes want him out. They’d want any other actual manager out before long too. Full of themselves.
He isn’t good .. he has stacked lineup and payroll makes him look good with the wins . In game adjustments he stinks and doesn’t know how to push the right buttons when you run into controversy
2 months ago everyone was saying Thomson was our best manager since Charlie Manuel and now some clowns want him fired 😂😂
We are the most uneducated over reactionary fanbase. The dum dums don’t understand that baseball is a very streaky game. Arms and bats go cold. When they go cold together it sucks. Rob isn’t perfect but what coach would do a batter job with this core of guys?
But they ARE losing 75% of the rest of the games
He is to Laid Back Right Now
They have to make the playoffs first. With the way they are playing that is not a given. The Phillies need a disciplinarian to light a fire.
The players win or lose games.
