On Rooney this is exactly what he did at Birmingham.. he blames the players, he acts surprised that the performance happens that he had nothing to do with it, he does not take accountability for anything, his selections are strange, he does not change strategies or tactics, he cant even be arsed to wear the team badge on his shirt to show he is part of the team(did the same last year). It's about him and his image, not about the team. I feel he is tone deaf when it comes to the supporters. So many people are apologist for him with excuses but he has shown he is not a proper manager/coach. He is brilliant though as he gets 3 year contracts and will be paid for 9 years(Derby,Birmingham,plymouth) and probably work less than 2 years overall….
I'm a Preston fan glad he's gone his style of football has absolutely stunk the place out ,far to negative always playing players out of position,always look like the away team at home, it's actually 6 league games on the trot we've lost and NOT scored a single goal.Thank God he's gone.
