  1. O line all over the place. This coach has me confussed.. Cant digest yesterdays math if your trying to teach me tomorrows math. . time to settle and dig in.

  2. Always great Job Matt , after watching all 22 felt we got a better look of Smith’s scheme with Allen seemed to have more command of offense .fields was know different then Kenny to quick to check down
    No need to panic though

  3. It's the preseason, everyone is just working through everything. Good individual performance is something to be excited with but asides from that, good or bad overall team performance means very little until it all comes together week one of the regular season. Remember the performance of the first team offence in the preseason last year? How'd that work out? I agree I'd with the OL comments though – I'd just go with Jones on the Left, Frazier at C and Fautanu on the right for week one.

  4. Am I wrong in being disappointed in the offense…I heard talk of USE OF THE TIGHT ENDS..yet…I saw 5 attempts??? maybe…I felt they weren't Aggressive…they played SOFT..& I put that on the O.C.

  5. Great breakdown Matt. Yea there were some Steelers mistakes but as you said some significant offensive plays. One game doesn't mean a whole lot. The team will work on the mistakes and fine tune the positives. 👌

  6. Au Contraire.

Your opening read was NOT boring. Especially for those including myself who were limited to listening to the game as opposed to watching it (even with watching it can be hard to follow who’s in with a majority of new names and numbers).
It is very beneficial hearing the breakdown of how much players played.
To that point, Coach Tomlin spoke about how a new players playing time in these games is reflective of their position of significance as a player.

    ..appreciated.

  8. Yes yes yes yes yes. The shuffling is slowing guys learning the right positions and the chemistry. It's dumb.

  9. i cannot understand the “shuffling” with the youngins on the o-line. we’ve seen plenty of the veteran options, we have to just start the young guys and let them do their growing on the fly. this approach looks idiotic

  10. Zach Frazier looked really good. Troy Fautanu’s MCL Sprain might delay the inevitable a little longer.

  11. Matt I really enjoyed the post game show I hope you and Mike continue to do it.

I dont understand why people are upset it was the 1st preseason game. They have a lot of stuff to work on and now it's on tape against a good team. I have to admit when they went shotgun on 4th and goal I was having flashbacks 😂😅. It was schemed perfect wide open. Pickens would have got the touchdown. To sum it up there was some good takeaways.

  12. I couldn't agree more Matt. Frazier, Jones, Washington, Ward all played well. The offensive line needs to be tighter. Thanks Matt for a second look. Good one.

  13. Good analysis. I agree about the secondary, truly a sieve. De Monte Kayzee needs to be cut.

  14. First play on offense it looked like Washington mauled the guy he had 😂, Frazier looked like he stood a. Couple guys up like it was nothing , 49 Moon looks like an absolute freak of nature size wise, thanks for the coverage….I liked Fisher too Matt 😂.

  15. Agree stop the shuffling on the lineman. Leave them alone so they can get their technique down.

  16. Bro you just talk to here yourself talk all the star players on defense wasn’t even out there it would have been a different ball game

  17. Fautanu looked terrible need to see him on the left. Broderick looked out of place on the left. Frazier looked better than Herbig. GA rb got aome skills. Payton Wilson looks like Lambert. Mccormick looks good in 66. Cant wait to see the first game with all the pieces on the field. Never been happier for a preseason loss after these past undefeated preseasons then coming out looking like crap.

  18. The FB got stood up they never get drafted find a udfa like Whitman or Krieder. New OC likes a FB, Stiller Nation loves a FB, get one that stands up Ray Lewis every play. Whoever keeps telln Najee to loose weight needs to stop. Hes a power back let him be huge and smash some mouth.

  19. Frazier and Payton Wilson were my standout players of the game. Frazier seemed to calm things down after Herbig and Fields couldn't connect, and Wilson was EVERYWHERE it seemed.
