Russell Wilson can read defenses? Justin Fields has 38 fumbles in 40 games played? Fields also has 135 sacks in those 40 games played and a large percentage are on him since he holds the ball too long. Neither option looks great. Pittsburg is probably starting a new QB in 2025.
He said Justin hasn’t looked great in camp so far ok lol
Blud said he wasn’t a fan of the Peppers signing wtf
Who is saying Herbert hasn’t looked good in camp?
Heed the call Gregg
Definitely agree Brees was a tough sack when the ball came out.
I thought it was pretty clear from his tape that Maye would be far behind a savvy vet like Brissett at this point. There’s all the work he needs strictly from a quarterbacking perspective, especially with respect to the footwork and some of the decision making, but Maye also struck me in interviews as just a VERY young guy. And there’s nothing really wrong with that. That’s not a bad thing. But if put in a bad situation and thrown to the wolves before he’s ready it could end up being utterly disastrous for both his confidence and the confidence his teammates have in him. The question that kept nagging me every time I watched and listened to a Drake Maye interview leading up to the draft was, “Is Drake really ready to lead a locker room full of grown men, especially if there’s a a lot of in-season adversity?” Good, sharp kid…but a kid. If I were the Patriots I’d proceed VERY cautiously.
With short QB’s you NEED the interior line to create a pocket so the QB to see the field (think Brees and Saints IOL…
HEED THE CALL can't wait for that shit to drop on monday
"can you make the case for why Russel Wilson is a better QB for the Steelers in 2024?" – because he can go beyond his first read and has enough pocket presence to not lead the league in sacks. Maybe Fields can turn it around in Pittsburgh and he's certainly got more potential than Wilson at this stage in his career, but let's not pretend he hasn't been an absolute disaster at QB up to this point in his career. Being below-average at something and being the worst in the league at something is a big difference imo.
I find this so odd. I do think you guys are good analysts, but every podcast you have one take that I completely disagree with. Like 100% think the exact opposite.
I have planters facia from football and sprint training and its the worst injury! Im barely making progress. Took a month off football and played a game and i could manage the pain and then one play it felt like it popped. Been out for months now 🙁 but im just a 40 year old guy playing touch football.
I had this podcast come up while I was running so I wasn’t watching the screen and I thought your guest was jamie eisenberg from cbs until I looked 20 minutes in lol
Chicago bears fan here:
I’m going out on a limb and going to say, two fumbles one pic.
For the Cam Newton clown show, hence QB 1 JFffffffing fields.
When Jaylen Tolbert has 900 yards and 6 TDs let's talk about it
I'm not surprised a healthy dobbins looks great. Guy has it in him to be a top 10 RB if he can stay healthy, and the Chargers season will be very different if he can get a good amount of games with snaps, vs a world where he's injured and we're pounding the pavement with steady eddie gus edwards.
The Russell Wilson commentary won't hold up.
How is Lynch such a brilliant GM but also such a putz?
