Our ππππ πππππ‘π’π§π ππ«π¨πππ¬π¬π’π¨π§ππ₯ ππ¨π«π² ππ’π§π€ππ« takes you through the options if you find yourself hitting a ball onto a red penalty area. If you wish to take relief, you have three options, each for one penalty stroke.
ππ‘π π©π₯ππ²ππ« π¦ππ²:
π. Take stroke-and-distance relief by playing a ball from where the previous stroke was made.
π. Take back-on-the-line relief by dropping a ball outside the penalty area, keeping the point where the ball crossed the penalty area between the hole and the spot where the ball is dropped.
π. Take lateral relief. Where the ball last crossed the penalty area a ball must be dropped and played from two club-length, which is no nearer the hole.
