I didn't have huge expectations but this was a really good interview with Ekblad – miles away from the usual canned media responses. I already loved him as a panthers fan: how he's really evolved his game and how unselfish he is on the ice, but he also came across in this interview as both genuine and down to earth. Still a little upset on his behalf that Barkov hasn't yet invited him over – come on Barky, it's been nine years!!
