I put the brand new Titleist GT3 Driver up against the TSR3 Driver in a head to head battle to see if the new golf driver is an improvement over the previous model. GT3 has launched alongside two other models, GT2 & GT4.

  1. Great and honest review. I saw about the same thing when I got fit for the GT. Decided to save 105$US and not do the upgrade either.

  2. It’s funny when you like a driver so much the new one comes out and we say I hope they didn’t change anything 😂

  3. My TSR3 with BGT Brava shaft is not going anywhere. I haven’t seen the benefit to moving to the GT3. It’s not just this review, either- the results from other reviews show the same results.

  4. Personally, I like the look of the TSR Line of drivers better. I have the TSR2 and love it. Something just looks off about the GT line. I think part of it is the look of the club on the bottom. I like the shape of the clubhead of the TSR line better.

  5. TSR3 is the best driver I’ve ever owned and I’ve been playing 30 -32 years. I was custom fit in the fall of 2023 for it with a Hzdrs Red CB 6.0 50 gram shaft and I’m good for another 4-5 years. Can’t be dropping $500-$650 every 2 years and expecting major changes in my driving. Been down that road many times over the last 10 years! I’m sure there are marginal gains in distance but definitely not enough to drop $650 on a GT driver.

  6. Jumped through the video the GT sounds better night and day. The ball speed all over the face for consistency is crazy.

  7. I play the TSi2 and that was me upgrading from a Taylormade M6. I’ve been pleased with the TSi and it is staying in the bag. I can’t justify paying the crazy prices for marginal upgrades

  8. Technology wise golf clubs has already reached the maximun level. including regulations. small improvements may mean a big change depending what each individual player is asking for. i might choose gt cause i need my ball in the fairway.

  9. Higher spin has been the issue for Titleist drivers for years now, so it's clear they've spotted it, and listened to players. But, if this is how low spin the GT3 is, then I wonder who the GT4 is aimed at.

  10. I think all driver reviews come back the same. Don’t upgrade from last years model. But if your driver is 4-6 years old you should upgrade

  11. It’s nice to see the GT retains better spin numbers than TSR. Other channels and even myself noticed TSR has the tendency to hit those high floaty ones to the right. Obviously that’s club face related but so far it seems GT has really improved on that

  12. I’ve spent a good amount of money on clubs….but these brands are just making it impossible anymore to keep up with new equipment when drivers are $700 and new irons are $1300…it’s just insane and I hope they realize it one day

  13. Still in my TSi3 and can’t really see much reason to spend £600 on upgrading any time soon, the same as when TSR3 came out, almost the exact same driver with a different logo!

  14. I think I'm done spending money on equipment. My 10 year old Mizuno irons still compete with my new ones and my Cobra Radspeed is dirt cheap and still competing with drivers 3x more expensive. Picking the right ball has made more difference than my clubs. Everyone is different though and you just have to realize Jordan was Jordan and it had little to do with his shoes.

  15. Good video….just in time also!

I am getting fitted for the GT series of drivers this coming Friday. I currently use the TaylorMade R7 Quad and hit it well for my age (58). I average right at 250 yards off the tee. It will be an interesting fitting. I am curious how much new technology will help or am I so used to my R7, I won't see much change.

  16. It will be much better than r7 , don't think about age as limiting, I drive my Darkspeed LS 300 and I'm 64 , averaged 250 when I was 35

  17. few owners of the TSR range are going to switch to the GT but how much difference is there for a 917 owner, a TS owner or a TSi owner? Those are the people more likely to upgrade but there's simply no comparisons being made.

  18. This just shows that newer drivers doesn’t automatically mean better. I’ve tried so many drivers out, and I still go back to the original sim. Hit more fairways and it goes further than any other driver I’ve hit.

  19. I currently have a TSR…
From what I have seen, there is a minimal difference between these two clubs. Why would anyone spend $500+ for basically the same performance? Makes zero sense…other than vanity.
