In this video I discuss the biggest narrative shifts from MMA fans for each fighter that fought on UFC Fight Night Abu Dhabi Sandhagen vs Nurmagomedov.
What I don't understand about fighters in 5 rd fights, who are clearly down 3 or 4 rds going into the 5th, is why they are so cautious sometimes? Like Leon vs Belal and Cory in this fight. If you are clearly down on rds and the only way to win is a finish in the 5th…do something different than the first 4 rds. You aren't going to get a sub, tko or ko setting up the perfect trap and waiting for "your moment" 99% of the time like they must think they will. Risk getting finished yourself to position yourself to possibly get a finish. If I'm down 4rds and I still have energy in the 5th I'm gonna give it all I can since if you don't get a finish you will lose anyway. And getting finished in a crazy exchange is a more copeable loss than just getting outclassed completely in my eyes.
I disagree in that there was a narrative shift for Tony at all. We knew that he was not as strong or big as Chiesa and would get ragdolled in grappling
You hit it right on the nail with Guram 💯🎯 if he implemented his offensive grappling more he would be so much more dangerous. He arguably has the most viscous ground & pound from top position imo. Those pointy elbows cut through dudes like butter
Umar did not make that fight look clean. He just wasted time doing tons of takedowns that ended in the same way every time. He did nothing with a single takedown
Your Trevor Wittman point is valid. When he was talking about switching his striking coach, I was thinking, “Why? You’re already top 3 of your division.” When he was in the cage I thought he looked like a non-hungry Gaethje out there, especially after knowing he could handle the grappling. In the fifth round he decided to go for a takedown instead of a flying knee or spinning wheel kick.
Bro Steve erceg, Jiri and poatan fought for title in their 4th fight in the UFC. Are you kidding with this "Umar's jump is too early" narrative, come on man not you too!?

Biggest narrative shift is that Shamiel The Blob Gaziev needs to be added to ufc 5. Was gutted to see he wasn’t there when I got my EA play free trial
Lucas you are amature!
Vera vs figgy was a robbery da fuq.
Idk, Shamil is my goat 😤
Sandhagen SOLD AMERICAS PARLEY

All your takes are casual

IM ON ANOTHA LEVEL 🇦🇺
Bro. Trevor Wittman is just an overrated coach.
If Shara had some weight to lose I’d say he should move down a weight class

lowkey should shamil lose weight and move to welterweight
Double end bag. It's the best bag to use. Its hard to hit. Improves accuracy and timing way better than the heavy bag
im glad shamil is boring i bet on him to win via decision at +330

Maybe that's just the "new" Cory after the surgery, I think that's just how he is now.

You're comparing gatekeeper Sandhagen to undefeated(all finishes) Shavkat?
Can you please do a matchmaking video 👍
