  3. I'm not interested in dealing with the trolls directly but I do want to answer the accusation:

'The Scottish Professional Football League continues to top the match attendance per capita table across Europe.' – according to Sky Sports

    Scotland's population 2019: 5.454 million – according to Google

Countries around Scotland by UN population est 2023 population (except Scotland, that is est 2019, because of Unionist di– ahem, because of unions) and their TV deal updated as of July 29, 2024, split over how many divisions:

    Netherlands 17,618,299 £64,500,000 1

    Belgium 11,686,140 £86,750,000 2

    Sweden 10,612,086 £38,750,000 2

    Czech Republic 10,495,295 £14,250,000 1

    Greece 10,341,277 £57,250,000 1

    Portugal 10,247,605 £161,750,000 1

    Austria 8,958,961 £33,750,000 1

    Switzerland 8,796,669 £18,750,000 1

    Denmark 5,910,913 £35,750,000 1

    SCOTLAND 5.454 mil (2019) £25,000,000 2!!

    Norway 5,474,360 £53,000,000 4

    Croatia 4,008,617 £7,500,00 1 -according to Wikipedia

Only the Czech Republic (5.528*), Switzerland (13.172*) and Croatia (4.085*) top divisions have a smaller deal from that list (I tried to get more info but I'm not being paid to do this and 2 Google searches is plenty of effort per league) than our top 2 divisions (16.782+2.206*) and from that all 3 are not sharing that cash with a second domestic division like we are.

*according to european-football-statistics dot co dot uk – 1.0=1,000 fans.

We punch high above our weight considering how push our negotiators are when selling our games to TV, especially when weighted aginst our per capita interest in the game.

…and despite all that we played Chelsea and Man City and while they were not full strength, (neither were we) the players they played were several times more in transfermarkt valuation than the transfermakt valuation of our entire first team squad (not just the the Celts that got game time in those 'friendlies'). 'Pub team' beating top teams in 'the top league in the world'? No bad, eh? Turning pennies into winners. Imagine if the people who negotiate our TV deals were as competent. HH
