We play several holes at the beautiful Newport Golf Club where we play two balls off the tee on holes where there is incentive to hit an aggressive shot over trees, hazards, and doglegs to see if we can shoot a lower score.

The old adage that you drive for show and putt for dough still rings true in the handicap game ( long game). Was hoping for the hole out with the 9 wood. To solidify it in the history of greatest club ever
I'll go safe if it's my first few times playing a course. I'll be aggressive when I'm good with the course😂
My high school coach always said play it safe so you don’t have to play the hero that your not 😂
i definitely play more aggressively and try to go for the hero shots far too often. but the rounds i play it more conservative i definitely see my score lowered

I enjoy it more when I go for it and hit really good shots, so I tend to be more aggressive. I also only play for fun, so a safer mindset would probably be best for anything where your score truly matters, haha.

I play safe. Slower swing speed and my short irons are better and can make up for it.
I always start safe but if I feel like I have a bad day a try new things and go a bit more risky
Always safe! But that works if you have reliable putting. If I'm GIR+1 with the knowledge I'll be inside 6 feet, I'll take that any day.
But I never putt with a glove on after missing a 2ft putt to win a match play comp. Never again!
When I was younger, my "aggressive" mindset was to always hit every club as hard and as far as I could and leave myself with the shortest possible in to the green. Now my goal is to leave myself 100 yards in (on longer holes) and be deadly accurate from that distance. I also frequently choose to swing softer now, preferring to hit a choked up 9 iron vs a hard PW for example.
Hah, I'm too timid of a player to even go near aggressive play– hitting the ball properly at all is my difficulty 🙂
I always start safe but if I get a transfusion in me i’ll try to do aggressive play for the next few holes…then i give up and ball hunt for pretty balls until my boyfriend is done with the 18 😂
I always play more aggressive regardless of the competition, but not necessarily scoring. After watching this video, I decided to start playing it safe and manage the course better. So this is my goal for the rest of the year. Keep up the great content!
