Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.

I got a superstroke on my scotty beucase the default was too thin and then i lost the feel for it. I since switched to a PLD putter but left the stock grip and I dont see myself switching anymore.

Just cut the putter down 1” and put on a reverse taper round this morning, just before you released this video 😂
✳️ I put a Tennis Tourna grip over my putter grip ✅ great soft feel plus added thickness ✳️
Can't find anywherecto try these and not spending £30 a shot just to try them.
I have used the flat one all season, my tendency to close the face has almost completely disappeared with my reverse grip, I highly recommend it 👍

i thought this was new but I found an old putter at a thrift store with a worn hard rubber reversible grip from golf pride. Not sure if it was some sort of prototype that never took off or what. 🤷🏻♂️ I liked the way it felt in the hands so i bought it
Just started trying claw grip, but changed to Super Stroke Pistol just before, so this video very interesting as agree grip is so important
These are great grips. I’m using the Large pistol and my putting touch has improved significantly. I’m able to lock my wrist, so I no longer flip the putter at the bottom of swing. I have more control of the face, so ball stays more consistently on my line. Great grip. I’m using conventional putter grip with it.
You should do a travel bag review. I’m sure you use one all the time. I’d be interested to see what you like or have used.

Enjoyed that video. I remember when HIT first came out you asked for comments of what people would like reviewed and I said putter grips. I’m a conventional grip for long (more than 10 feet) and left below right for short putts. Quite like the look of the pistol grip.
Been using the round reverse taper grip with a conventional hand position for about three months now, love it. Can say my putting has definitely improved, not just by the holed putts, but the lags, and consistency too. Maybe 3 to 4 putts less per round on average, and that's probably by reducing the three putts. Hope I'm not tempting fate !
I have a Bettinardi SS28 slot back putter with a lamkin grip. It's firm and not tapered. The front is flat and it suits my hand for conventional or a claw grip well. It seems medium in size. I'm a firm believer that the grip does make a difference!
