the McBeth shot on 14 and the ensuing discussion is why DGPT need card officials to make those kind of calls.
Europe had mobile turf pads for all of their courses. We come back to the US with our "Biggest Disc Golf Tournament" and the players are throwing off spray-painted pavement. 😑

Definitely OB on 14 by Paul. Cole was the only one with any integrity on that card who expressed the correct call. 🙄

Uli — it's piping, pipe manifolds, valves, electric motors and pumps in the base of the tower and a couple of cabinets full of pump controllers and electrical switchgear. I haven't been in that one but I've worked for a water utility.
Paul Ulibarri. The door on the water tower goes to a dry chamber around the actual ware pipe. So if you opened that door you’d see a 10/12” diameter pipe right in the middle going into the ground to supply gravity fed water pressure. Also I’m a 54 year old amateur that throws 250’ max and I bet I could beat you in a round of disc golf. Love the work you do, keep it up. Good stuff.

Here's my comment on hole 14 paul OB situation. I'm not gonna be the one to call that out. If it's touching just a bit of land, it's in right? Even a stick. Especially in a round with buds. Maybe not so much in a competitive round…That being said, I feel like that was OB. But it is up to the card.

Ok so, it doesn't matter where the disc is when they get to it since it could have been moved by the waves. Shouldn't the call be made when the disc lands. If it looks like it's inbounds from the tee, you gotta call it in. You gotta give benefit to the player. Similarly if you see the disc land in water but it's in when you walk up to it, you wouldn't suddenly call it in. You can't have it both ways.

The players shouldn't be making these OB calls maybe have the spotter or course officials do it? Too much room for peer pressure and all sorts of other pressures….if it wasn't paul mcbeth that shot on 14 would have been called out

I'll defer to the pros on the course but I would have called that out on myself without a doubt.
Dispite what some may think, there was 4 refs on the call on 14. They were there, we weren't. It was the right call no matter what the call was. I am biased because I do root for Paul but, even if it was the another call, it would be the right call.

After watching the Euro tour it's crazy to see that spray paint on a sidewalk can be passed as a tee pad. Get some regulation into this sport already!
