Red Bull has officially announced that Jonathan Wheatley would be leaving the team to become the team principal at Audi. Jonathan Wheatley will be leaving Milton Keynes to become team principal for the Audi squad, according to Red Bull.

Sporting Director Jonathan Wheatley has left Oracle Red Bull Racing to take on a new challenge as Team Principal for the Audi F1 Project. The news of his departure was announced today by the team.

‘Our partnership with Jonathan spans more than 18 years and has been fruitful,’ stated Christian Horner, team principal and chief executive officer. His tenure as Team Manager and then as Sporting Director will go down in Team history as a watershed moment, as will his six World Constructors’ Titles and seven World Drivers’ Championships.

As the Team aims to successfully defend our World Drivers’ and World Constructors’ Titles, Jonathan will stay in his role until the end of the 2024 season. In 2025, there will be a gardening leave time.

  1. I love Checo, but, if RB had any integrity, they would let Checo go, put Liam in the second seat and move on. However, it's all about dollars, which is not fair to Checo, as he's in a toxic environment where he's essentially a cash register for them. Checo should just leave on his own and look for another opportunity with a better team vibe. Just my opinion.

  2. I’d give Hannah a stake in the team. Ferrari should give her all the $ they have left.

Great job getting big enough to be seen as an official f1 taking head. Hope you make some $$

  3. I thought you did the ladder because it's the perfect filming location; quiet, not distracting, private (nothing recognizable in the background so you get doxxed if you have a bad take someone doesn't like), and easy to joke around about (like Jimmer's shed/basement, Aidan Millward's blank walls, etc.)

If you filmed this in front of the wrong thing, I'm sure that you could end up in trouble. Don't identify yourself online if you're going to be huge-popular.

  4. I struggle with the question : is X regretting not going / staying …. ? This is such a ridiculous question if one really thinks about it. How does one even consider this as being relevant ? No, Carlos chose Williams for reasons known only to him; No, Lewis wants to race for Ferrari for reasons known only to him; and so on. Fernando was not sorry for going to Mclaren and Danny neither. They decide according to the deal they can negotiate at the time they are on the market. Afterall, a driver is a driver, and all they are really interested in is to race in F1, preferably in a toip team but in any team as long as they can race and as long as their financial requirements are met.

  5. Thank you for the standard introduction. The last live ladder really disoriented me while the normal climb up sets the mood and gets the dopamine surging.

  6. If you had told me what where Red Bull is currently at, 6 months ago, I would’ve laughed and said good joke

  7. Great videos, been subbed for a minute!

I do event lighting for my job, including some broadcast MMA, live streamed concerts, and recorded speaking events. Something to be aware of if you do TV broadcast, is that your signature move of having team color lighting on your face will probably get shot down. Video people are typically going to want a nice even wash at a particular color temp, right around 6500k (also known as D65).

Just something to be prepared for if/when you get that call. I'd prefer you on there as opposed to some of the pundits they get, so I hope you get that call soon <3

  8. Red bull and their pettiness is hilarious. They said he’s leaving and joining Audi while every other time teams just say the person is leaving and they don’t go spout off who they’re joining

  9. I know it sounds like all these talents are “jumping ship” as they sense the supposed demise of RB, but Newey moving on makes sense given his age/career/projects moving forward. I just see this as what Merc are: talent factories for good engineers, strategists, and leaders. I can’t see them falling below 3rd even with the new regs. Good teams produce good talent and that good talent grows up to lead other teams. Just like James Vowles. I’m looking forward to seeing how RB replenish!

  10. Who actually believes that a little 'fresh' blood, introduced into the Red Bull team, after 18 years, is tearing the team apart?

  11. Re laptop and battery, have you tried using a GaN charger/battery? Ie USB C portable battery to charge your laptop while you stream. They're from £50-150 depending on capacity.

  12. Watching from Orlando, Florida, really wish I could be here for live streams 😭 I watch everyday when I get ready for work, love all the videos! 😊 Definitely help me and how I explain stuff to my friends about F1.

  13. Good on you man 👍🏼 I saw your channel a few months ago and you had a few thousand subscribers. Channels definitely grown since then 😄 Well deserved. The content is awesome!

  14. What??? Newey didn't leave Williams over a "change of culture" or "lack of harmony". He left because Sir Frank told him to bugger off when he demanded a stake in the team ownership.

  15. I'm a red bull fan and I have to be honest our dominant days are over 100 percent max won't leave or perez its just the people that are involved at red bull are just going and causing affects to us

  16. The death of Dietrich Mateschitz and subsequent power struggle between Horner and Marko is driving good people away from Red Bull

  17. I think Sergio has to stay through his contract. Sergio brings top 10 talent and if we look at the numbers he probably internationally has a huge purse and audience. Right now, outside of a little Hamilton in Brazil. I mean when you consider Sargent, Stroll or Perez. We have 6 races between the USA, Mexico and Brazil. Sergio must stay and with Red Bull! Will pay off long term, creating new lifelong fans and merch buyers. 🙏🏼 thank you for the listen!

  18. Isn't this just the natural progression of things. Like, was he going to stock around and be #2 all the time? No. People gain experience and they move up or move on. Think about how many people left Mercedes towards the end of their reign while their stock was up as a resource.

  19. I've grown very fond of you in the past few months, Ladder man. Your passion for your work is infectious. Please keep it up!
