Was Jon Rahm’s slump-busting win more important for him or LIV? | Golf Channel Podcast

  1. Remember when Jon thought he was so important to the PGA TOUR he thought leaving it for LIV and a bag of money would expedite LIV and the PGA TOUR's unification?

Nothing would make me happier than only seeing him, Cryson, Justine Reed's husband, and Sergio only 1-4 times a year.

  2. Given Rahms past attitude on history and the game he knows it's truly a Meaningless win but perhaps the money will ease his pain but it certainly will not ease his true feelings on the history of the game.

  3. The fact it took 3 Olympics for some pros to get it – the talent pool is so deep
And global of all the sports – golf should be amateurs – and a team format like the old 3 man Dunhill 😄

  4. (25:35)- Pull that 'Todd Lewis air-horn' out, not on Todd, but blow it on Lav for his cop out as he tip-toed into 'TV Todd' mode😏
Let me tell ya what Lav, as well as the rest of us sensibly minded people were thinking when we saw those clips from the opening ceremony… "What in the Olympic world is up with this Parisian perverted pagan drag👸parade polluting the Games!"🤷‍♂️

  5. Cry me a river for Rahm. Take your blood money from the Saudis and shut up. Real Americans don't really care about you or the fool posting videos with DonOLD Trump.

  6. It's pitiful seeing the PGA Tour try to compete with the ignoble LIV's traveling circus. Noble souls never try to imitate the ignoble; rather, they spurn them. Noble souls unapologetically embrace nobility in every respect, regardless of the resulting howls of the ignoble mob.

  7. Rex can stay. But Rahm finished 7th at Troon and I believe Lawrence from SA finished 3rd. Looking forward to the olympics although Bry58n and Brooks should be there instead of Wyndham and Collin…..golf will be the only sport in the olympics where not all the best players are there playing – simply because of politics/corruption/anti-competitive behaviour from the PGAT within the sport.

  8. Rex and Lav, better than Deadpool and Wolverine!

Well done Rahm, I had criticized him earlier this season, hats off. A lot we fans do not know about players lives outside the fairways.

Hope Le Golf National isn't a walk over.

  9. 1. Rahm used the majors as prep for LIV…..not necessarily the other way around.

    2. Hopefully he figures out the formula to reverse that.

    3. Family stuff will always hurt the game.

  10. The money on that tour is bonkers. It doesn't make any sense. It's like the best baseball players in MLB, getting $100M to $600M to sign up…and $5M per week to the best ERA, Batting av etc…every week…plus teams. But baseball would make more sense because they have 160 games, and it's a WAY WAY bigger sport than golf. I don't blame 90% of those guys that jumped ship. I also see why Tiger and Rory didn't go…they're making as much with their endorsements untouched.

  11. Neither it’s meaningless for both. Liv is a side show for the party golfer who doesn’t like the country club setting in golf. The tour doesn’t miss rahm either so it’s completely meaningless to the game.

  12. Every golfer goes through a slump. How they handle that is what separates the men from the boys. Rahm seems to be on the upside now. He is a great player who is capable of winning on any course.

  13. same old gobledygook from you two. questions and doubts, but you never have any answers, none. yaaaaawnnn

  14. I made it six minutes in. I’ve never heard too much crap in such a short time in all my days.

  15. The Narrative that LIV golf makes guys bad at golf is hilarious! Justin Thomas and Jordan spieth are terrible now. should we blame the PGA tour?

  16. Come on guys! Rahm has finished in the top 10 in every single LIV event (11?) he has played competing against – as you guys have pointed out – a stacked field. And then in the top 10 at the Open. I think John is doing just fine thanks …

  17. Y'all that hate LIV should get used to it cuz PGA gonna sign a deal with the Saudis sooner rather than later
