  1. Why didn't Jolyon Palmer go racing in another series after being punted from F1? Why no Indy or WEC or even British touring?

  2. Sorry, I wouldn’t call that win dramatic! Had he retaken the lead on his own, that would have been dramatic.

  3. The first opportunity Lando has now to sign a better contract with a different team he wil. I hope he does deserve a more professional team.

  4. Lando was only faster after the pit stop is because Piastri was preserving his tyres as team orders hut Norris wasn't! The reality is this – McLaren and Norris made an absolute mess

  5. We dont know if Lando was the fastest driver, we do know he was unable to catch Piastri and when he was first, Piastri wasn't actually trying to catch him, so..

  6. I was shouting "GIVE IT TO PIASTRI!" at the end. He deserves it. You never know when your last opportunity will be, to be fair.

  7. Andrea or someone senior should have intervened 'Valtteri it's James' style and been the 'bad guy', there's no way this won't have impacted the trust and relationship between Lando and Will.

  8. Mclaren should have said to Piastri that Lando is in a position to challenge Max for the championship. So we need him to win.

  9. If at the end of the year Lando missed the title by less than seven points, the team director will, and should be fired

  10. So uhhhh, I dunno who made the graph, but the simmed lines for oscar are fine, but landos sim line is way off what he actually achieved when he pitted early, if you used his actual tracjectory he would of caught oscar by lap 60 if not a little earlier, i dunno if F1 is trying to spin this so people give oscar credit but im not sure if it would of been his win had the pitting been done in reverse. This race would have been a spectacle and I think Lando and oscar could have had an epic battle for a genuine race win, instead we got lando feeling robbed, and oscar feeling like he was gifted a win.

  11. The reason why they needed Lando to give up 1st place is precisely because the TEAM made the error and they wanted to correct it. If Lando is in the same misfortune later in the season, they want Piastri to return the favour with no questions. THis decision was best for the team

  12. listened to the Lando side radio after the pit and it's obvious the team took an insurance against Lewis and they already knew a team order is way to reverse the position. The team's overall strategy is clear and I think Lando made a great sacrifice to uphold team spirit. Very odd and unusual team strategy though, and I don't think it works on a super competitive sports like F1 racing. We will see how it unfolds over time 🤷‍♂️

  13. Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Oscar drop into the gravel after his last pit stop? If so Lando should never have given up that position. NEVER Reminded me of professional wrestling. No dog in the fight but if this is racing I'm out. Poor from the pit wall.

  14. I don't think it was a case that oscar couldn't match hes pace in the final stint, but rather a case he was following instructions to conserve his tyres, and norris was ignoring that instruction.

Also, consider, he was told not to worry and that the place would be swapped.

Why would he try to match or better his pace under that circumstance?

  15. Jolyon, Ruth's analysis and simulation result of Lando passing Oscar with 3 laps to go had he immediately let Oscar by seems far more probable than yours given the pace difference after the pit stops.:-).Speculation that Oscar may have damaged his car going off also may be plausible. Pretty to think that the switch at the end didn't change anything had McClaren managed to get out of their own way but it probably did–and definitely casts a legitimate shadow over Oscar's win.
